If it's a colour file it may also be an issue with tracing it. I'm surprised the printers dont have access to any Adobe products as they should be able to do this sort of thing - unless of course there's an additional extortionate charge for doing so?!

You need to 'trace' it in something like Adobe Illustrator or another program that supports vectors.

There is a very simple and quick fix if it is Impero which is why people ask the question when people report this kind of issue. It's not a fault as such, a quick configuration update on the Imper Server is required and then once the client gets the settings the issue goes away!

If they do that'll be the problem.

Without knowing what your current skillset is, it's difficult to make any certification recommendations. There are plenty of Network Manager job adverts here on EduGeek so I would suggest you take a look at as many as you can and look for things a lot of them ask for and if you haven't got that experience then that's the thing to find a course on to learn!

The XBox One X hasn't even been out for 1 month yet so you wont see Microsoft suddenly drop their prices for quite some time! Game have been offering game packs recently but as I didnt like any of the games they were offering so I just got the XBox One X on it's own.

As long as the countdown timer you choose doesnt show the date and just the number of days all you should need to do is select whatever the date will be in 98 days and that would give you what you're after I think.

I recently got a 43" LG TV from Argos along with the XBox One X and OMG wow! In HDR games, when it fades to black the TV appears to be off as it's so black! Yes there are higher spec TVs out there than the £369 I paid for my LG TV but then the price is higher too! On one forum I asked for a recommended TV for the XBox One X and it was over £1,600!! For the price of around £369 you can get a great LG TV that works amazingly with the XBox One X.

This thread is in the Windows 10 Forum so I'm not using Windows 7. I ran the manage-bde -protectors -get c: command to get the protector ID and then updated/synched to AD using the manage-bde -protectors -adbackup c: -id command. I was expecting it to change/update something in AD but only the password from when the original laptop was encrypted was there so I have removed the HDD, put is on a SATA to USB adapter and then entered the old password from AD and it has unlocked it so I can read/write to it. I was kind of expecting a new password to have been created and then updated to AD but it seems to be the other way around and the laptop has been updated with the password on the HDD hence why nothing has changed in AD. Whether this is because it's a like-for-like laptop or if this is just how it works I dont know.

We've never really had a full outage, just very slow speeds - at the moment we're using about 60Mbps but only have 12Mbps free on a 200Mbps so I guess we have some things to be grateful for.

I've got to laptops that are exactly the same (Lenovo T410). One has a broken NIC so I've taken the SSD out of it and put it in the spare working one. The hard disk is encrypted with BitLocker. When I power on the laptop and it asks me for a password, I've gotten the BitLocker password from AD after entering it Windows loads and I can log on OK. What do I need to do with BitLocker so I can use this hard drive in this laptop on a permanent basis. i.e. Do I have to un-encrypt the hard disk and then re-encrypt it to update the TPM chip etc. or is there a command I can run to update the TPM chip or hard disk? Hope that makes sense!

They're a Capita company so what do you expect!! Our librarian had a quick look around and all the other paid for solutions were dearer than MLS or it was Open Source and we simply dont have the time to do anything like exporting the data etc. ourselves so Open Source is out and as the others came back more expensive we're stuck with MLS!

Same here, we even hosted an event for them for local schools where a Fortinet representative came to show all the local schools what they were up to during the next year, he took one look at our configuration and wanted to know who set it up as it wasnt done properly, I pointed out it was SB who were not only in the room at the time but had organised for him to come here - he then went quiet and went through his presentation! We nearly had our config re-done but it's never quite happened as I suspect it's this and not the infrastructure at fault.

Ours is back to normal too: Fed up logging it with them to be told the same Windows Updates thing of other schools doing them and it affecting us.

They recently added another 10Gbps dedicated link from them to a Microsoft partner company that distributes all their updates which implies that MS traffic goes down those pipes thus freeing up the other pipes for all other Internet useage so no idea why Support keeps blaming Microsoft Updates! I could understand Microsoft Updates being slow if their dedicated pipes are at max and that would be fine, but we thought we'd paid for a 1:1 contention internet connection yet we've been told consistently over the last 12-18 months that it's due to Windows Updates that we aren't doing! Thankfully we'll be moving all our Schools away from a vISP soon so this wont be a problem any more.

If forcing a consistency check doesn't work - in my experience just close the DPM Management Console and forget about it for up to 1 week and then take a look again and more often than not, it will have automatically sorted itself out when it runs it's tasks in the evening! The reason I say up to a week is because if I remember correctly some tasks it performs automatically are only done once per week depending on how you initially configured it.

I wish we got our full 200Mbps all of the time - apparently even on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays it's due to 'Patch Tuesday' Windows Updates that are being done by other schools/academies! Been like this for nearly two years so getting what we paid for is just a dream for us.

Get a custom Laptop Decal Sticker made (around £30ish) and make it look snazzy that way! I've used these before for my 2008 MacBook: https://www.decalgirl.com/skins/laptop-skins Only the Lenovo Yoga is listed but they also do custom size ones so you can get a tape measure out and do it that way. You could also get some Printable Vinyl and make your own with you School/Academy logo on them but they probably wont be as good a quality as someone like DecalGirl.

That's because they're rugged! To make them look sleeker/modern/sexier they would have to remove the roll-cage type-of-thing but then it wouldn't be rugged any more. Lenovo do better looking ones without the roll-cage but then that's not what you're looking for. When I had a proper job working in the business sector we used the Lenovo T-Series due to their ruggedness and they lasted forever. Once we got some cheaper ones (new IT Director trying to make a name for himself by cutting costs) and we got some of the SL series ones and after 6 months of Area Managers travelling throughout the UK with them, most were ruined with bits hanging off and loads of problems, we went back to the T series and no more problems!

It's why we have only recently become a customer of yours Colin - it's seen by a lot of people as if you are too embarrassed to list a price as you yourselves think your prices are high! I first became aware of VeryPC 5yrs ago and when I saw no prices on your website I just closed the site and never looked back and purchased 100s of PCs from your rivals who displayed prices that were well within our budget constraints, as like I say, no prices suggests high prices. It was only because we were after a particular type of case that you happened to sell that we now have 100+ PCs of yours - you could have sold us 100's more over the last 5yrs if we hadn't been put off by your lack of pricing on your website! A 'Starting From' price is all it needs so people can see if you fit in to their budget constraints or not. Maybe your latest 'Special Offer' on each model. We look for prices so we don't end up wasting our time and a companies time discussing specs only to find several hours later they are way out of our price range! It's not just companies like VeryPC, the same goes for a lot of software companies not listing a price - for customers it's a sign that it's so expensive that they need a salesperson to butter you up and tell you about all the features to try and justify a high price that once revealed tends to be out of your price range so you can't buy it and have just wasted everyone's time!

Are you using the latest Group Policy files - have you download/installed the 1703 (or now 1709) .ADMX files?

Not seen it coming up on any PCs since! It seems to work on Windows 8 and 10 machines so no annoying/nagging upgrade messages!
