It's how we became aware of them and the campaign worked as over 2 years later we purchased 100+ PCs from them! It's about brand awareness and it's difficult to know how successful it is, especially when people like me didn't order from them until a couple of years after we first became aware of them due to this campaign!

If that's true then they clearly dont value their customers as that should be done out of hours.

Luckily we don't use ParentPay here but if we did it's the Schools policy not to let a child go hungry so if this happened to us a child would not be turned away from having a meal.

We got an IP address from our ISP along with an SSL certificate and had the ISPs DNS server point to our server.

Sadly I've had it confirmed that Stocktober is no more and they're having an open day instead in December.

The beauty of SCCM there isnt really a right or wrong way, it either works for you or it doesnt! The 'Microsoft Way' is to create a task sequence that installs the OS along with all the software and then create a 'Golden Image' from it which you then deploy to your computers. I dont think many/any people do it that way! Personally I install Windows 10 in a VM envoronment, install Office and all the other software we are licensed for and create a 'Standard Build' and then bung that in to a Task Sequence and then any room/departmental specific software gets pushed out via the TS as either an Application or Package. Do whatever is easiest/best for you.

I think it's to do with SSL certificates - if you dont have one or dont have the right one then connecting to things like this doesnt work. Since upgrading to IOS11 I cannot for example join our WiFi nor that of "The Cloud" free WiFi you see in a lot of shopping centres as on the Captive Portal Page they dont use SSLs - you only get one once you've been authenticated on the CPP.

I think you'll find this is an on purpose marketing technique.

Can you post a photo of what you're after as we have some Viglens somewhere but no idea of their model number?

Have you tried copying and pasting the text in to Google to see if that brings anything up?

Just tried to install the Teams desktop app and found out the hard way what you guys have already found out that it's a waste of time in a academic environment as it only installs in to the users profile and as all local profiles are deleted when a student logs off it's never going to work! Microsoft must surely no this???

Check the BIOS settings of your computers as on some of our laptops we had to enable the latest version of TPM (2.0) rather than 1.2 which is what they were set at. On the laptops that we dont have TPM chips on the users simply enter a password after they have POSTed and start to load the OS.

Studio One 3 Prime is Free for school use but it has to be registered for it to run. Does anyone here install PreSonus on their computers? If so do you install it manually and register each installation or is there a way of deploying it and automatically registering it? I've worked out the silent install is simply "PreSonus Studio One 3 Installer (x64).exe" /S I just need to know now if we'll have to go around every single computer and enter a username and password to register each and every install or if this can be automated at the command line for example during the silent install?

WOL sends a magic packet to a MAC address, without a MAC address WOL wont work.

We tend to get ours from Amc Computer Supplies - Ask for Danny and he'll sort you out.

Best way is to daisy-chain the projectors to each other. The Epson projectors that we use for example have both and VGA input and VGA output so you can output from the projector to another device.

Same with me. Grab a laptop and long VGA lead, plug it directly in to the Projector and laptop and if that works the lead 'in the wall' needs replacing.

We just restricted the hours of when the accounts would be used and they have to accept a disclaimer that says they agree to only use the accounts for a certain amount of time etc.
