Looking for a Portable HDD/SSD for home lab rotating backups
hardtailstar replied to Davit2005's topic in Hardware
Ive got an ordinary Sandisk SSD in a caddy which I use for back ups, Ive had it for years and it gets used weekly. It was cheaper at the time to buy the SSD as is and get a caddy then buying the same size packaged as a portable SSD. -

We have Ruckus here, no issues, well except that the console didn't like Chrome and windows 10. A firmware upgrade solved this. It was installed in the three primary schools I used to work at, never had an issue at either site in the 5 years I worked at them.

We find that the Chrome extension works much better than the desktop version. I think thats where they want to stay.

Holiday/training in an editable PDF forms sent to HR, HR then stick it on SIMS. Sick days are you have to ring up before 7am and leave a message All days off are recorded in SIMS. Agreed holiday/dates off - myself and my manager stick it in a shared Google Calendar so we can see when each other is off or has been.

I have my Virgin superhub 3 in modem mode and two Google wifi's in my three bedroom house. One AP downstairs next to the Superhub and one upstairs in the second bedroom. Covers the whole house and into the garden about half way. One thing to know is that if Virgin decide to push an update to the Superhub and its in modem mode it completely knocks everything offline! Spent about three days trying to work out the issue!

Dont do it! More hassle than its worth! You'll get one or two always bringing it back in to you to fix. Better off either putting them in the bin or using them as loan laptops or try and make a trolley's worth if they are any good. We never sell to staff, old laptops if they are ok enough get put into service as above.

Fully clothed?

Probably drive out of my town to one of the places to do that.
