MSN - thought I cheated... I'd've never have guessed! If they'd come with metal straps I would have probably considered one years ago...

Ooh lovely... I think I assumed at the time it was something PCMCIA related, but just assumed it was a whim purchase by the head at the time who liked his gadgets...

Clik Drive!! I seem to remember having one lying around in the office of my first school that no one knew anything about...

Aah, I didn't realise that was replying to your post lol...

A remote for a hydraulic lift of some sort? Seen something similar used to control a massive 42 meter screen raised from a lorry...

Best way to set up facebook page/business
RichCowell replied to Shadow_Walker's topic in Cloud Services
We've had a Facebook page for quite a while now, I created it with my personal account, and have given several other members of staff access to use it with their own personal accounts. There have never been any issues with this, no one has ever found personal accounts or known who's posting... There's no point creating a dummy Facebook profile for it, unless you don't have an account already and need to manage it... Works really well... which makes a change these days! -
Was it Weduc? I had a demo of that while I was there, looked pretty good... https://www.weduc.co.uk/

Have you called them about the service not starting? They should be able to look into it for you... Unless it's changed since I last heard Edge doesn't support any add-ins/extensions yet, so it's not just Impero it doesn't support... I'll be disabling Edge and leaving Chrome as the default browser when we switch to W10 though... and there's a Confide viewer in the Group tab, so they can all be viewed there, depending on permissions... It'd be worth giving their support line a call, as it does tick all the necessary boxes...

@Joanne not sure what I'm doing before or after yet... Won't be out too late as I'm goosed already lol... Plus I don't know London so will just be in an Uber probably...

I'd have gone to both Wednesday and Thursday but I'm at the BETT Awards on Wednesday - I'll look forward to meeting people there on Thursday though...

The new Google Assistant thing was awesome, but is now seriously flaky since the December update, no better with the January update... It keeps rebooting (boots back up without needing the PIN, so gets a signal again, but still a huge faff!)... I need to reset it and start again and hope that helps, but haven't found the time to do that yet...

I am too - the Nexus 6 and 6P were perfect for me... I still hate the smaller screen of the Pixel XL, so will look to step back up to closer to 6" again in the future...
-
I'm really disappointed with the Pixel XL, and I'm thinking of selling it in favour of the Huawei Mate 9...

I just use an email forwarder on my own domain redirected to my normal account to receive the badge, then deleted for things like that... works perfectly...

I'll be there all four days, really looking forward to it, though my feet aren't quite as enthusiastic!!

VPP and App bundles, can it be done?
RichCowell replied to toffee_paul's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
I've been told you can usually contact the developers and ask them to make it available for VPP - it's apparently as simple as them ticking a box for that option... -
Definitely me, I'll check again if there's a rain check though... @ticker was trying to get out too

[movie trailer] Star Wars: Rogue One teaser trailer
RichCowell replied to LoyalHeretic's topic in TV & Movies
Great review! Jealous! not sure when I'll get to see it... -
Thanks for that, hadn't spotted that in the start menu... Where do you get the libraries to put in the box when you open OneDrive for Business? Doesn't make it very clear, and we've definitely not done that on the machines that can already see Sites/SharePoint in the navigation pane, so still not sure how they got it.

In my growing frustration with OneNote and wanting to help people with it here, one of the stumbling blocks is that it seems different users have different experiences with it... Current issue - my boss has got three things for OneDrive / Sites in the navigation pane of Explorer, OneDrive Personal, OneDrive School, and Sites (or SharePoint, can't remember which), but I've only got one OneDrive for school, and other users don't have any... Can anyone tell me how you get them there? We've done the same thing on different machines to sign into OneNote etc. but can't work these out... Edit: I do realise this is probably something really simple, and I'm psyched up to be suitably embarrassed!
