  1. Thanks @stevejp and @difinity!! :-)
  2. Thanks for all the votes do far! He's just sent me this YouTube video/slideshow of his garden, looks more impressive than the photos earlier...
  3. Looks like they have, thanks
  4. Thanks all! I've just let him know there's been such a good response so far here too and he's said to say thanks as well, he's extremely grateful!
  5. Thanks @Primus & @IT_Man_Dan Good to know, thanks again
  6. Thanks both! @hardtailstar - it's not working on a lot of mobile browsers, what are you using?
  7. Now I'm gutted I didn't put more thought into my original post and think of that myself!! Thanks and thanks @HarryMonkey too!
  8. Thanks @witch / @ICTDirect_Dave!
  9. Hi all! My brother has won Gold at the BBC Gardener’s World Live event at the NEC again for the second year running… Last year he also won the Judges’ Choice and Visitors’ Choice… If you get a couple of minutes would you be able to vote for Living Landscapes – Designed by the Hairy Gardeners at the following site: https://www.landscaper.org.uk/aplavenue.html It’s just two clicks once you’re on the page – no details to enter… Some photos of his garden: Thanks He'll be at the Chelsea Flower Show next year too... Not got a clue where he gets all his inspiration!
  10. I used ICQ quite a lot... MSN was always my main one, but used Yahoo occasionally too... Never bothered trying AIM though, and never knew anyone that used it either... Met a previous girlfriend through ICQ in about 2004 after she'd searched for people nearby... the less said about her the better! Put me off dating for years!!
  11. I can't remember the last time I used my RT, but could you publish a browser on a terminal server and load it on that instead of the local browser on the RT?
  12. NetSupport Notify - designed for exactly what you need and is more flexible and it's really reasonably priced NetSupport Notify - Multi platform alerting solution
  13. Most places seem to have run out of the original ActivPen 3's now - so once all supplies are exhausted - we need to start using the Promethean ActivArena pens, which come in a two-pack (Teacher & Student), but also do a firmware update so they are able to work on the older boards... The firmware update is available here: https://support.prometheanworld.com/article/?kb=1030 I've had a quote of £38.33 for the 2-pen set at the moment, from www.crusaderav.co.uk Update: Hadn't seen the post saying similar above!
  14. We've had it for years now and have been really happy with it... when you compare it with other solutions it's easy to see what you're paying for and why it's the market leader... There has been loads of development and updates in that time, and the support has been fantastic when needed... also on the occasions you have to search to see if/when visitors have been on site, it's so much easier than it was with paper systems.
  15. Not sure what they're likely to do, and it may have changed since we moved (hopefully!) - they wouldn't allow us to have our own domain back then, and we wanted to move everything really, so moved that too... since moved to Office 365 with our own tenancy, rather than one that's part of theirs, potentially with features removed like GoDaddy do...
  16. It's a while since we moved from them in 2011, but they were exactly the same then, and we've saved a fortune since... Just don't expect anything to be done quickly... Do they host your website or Moodle? You'll need to look at alternative solutions for those if so. Also if you still use your .sch.uk domain, it would be worth getting that hosted elsewhere too (and moving away from BTLS is a great opportunity to introduce a new, friendlier domain!). We went with Virtue Technologies, based in Lancashire - can't recommend them highly enough (they can host the .sch.uk domains too).
  17. We lease, and the same with our centralised printers now too - it's been far better since we switched to this. Bursar was always happy leasing copiers, and didn't need convincing when I suggested including the printers too.
  18. Same, I can't remember the last time someone asked, or the last time I needed to grant local admin rights to anyone...
  19. Just going off the information they send when setting it up - I think it's: vpn-ctr6.capita-cso.co.uk (213.129.90.242) Not actually monitored while in use... Though it took them about 6 months to get it all set up and working, so I may have forgotten something...
  20. We got ours through an offer a while ago, so I'm not sure about the up to date price - I know it's always reasonable though... @Matt_NetSupport can probably advise re. prices...
  21. +1 for NetSupport Notify This is exactly what it's for - it's really reasonably priced, and well worth it..
  22. I can't comment on that as I've never had to return anything to them - and they're only 20 mins down the road from me so I'd return in person if I needed to... Their service and knowledge is excellent though.
