  1. Had a lot of stuff from them in the past, including laptops, always happy with the kit, and any occasional issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently...
  2. Saw that and instantly thought of this: Couldn't resist, sorry!
  3. I've used School Asset Manager for a few years now, and it's a great service... You should contact School Audit though - based not too far from you and I've heard are significantly cheaper than SAM... School Audit by InVentry - School Asset Management for Education
  4. Forgot to mention this in my email!! I'll put it in the one to all members going out soon...
  5. That's good too, and is more of a pub lunch kinda place, plenty of parking and reasonable prices...
  6. Looks good! The do a large starter too, I wonder if it's as big as the Trash Can Lid at Rift...
  7. Try to organise one near you, then you know you're sorted
  8. p.s. I rarely drink, so if anyone's interested that doesn't drive, or would rather have a drink en-route from Chorley to wherever's decided, let me know..
  9. Preston or Sycamore Farm both sound good to me... Got an email due to go out to NW ANME members too so I'll mention it in that as well.
  10. You're welcome! I'm glad you made it!
  11. I'd just use Photoshop... Do have any printers that print on banner paper? (1200mm x 300mm) That'd be less to cut & paste afterwards... It's a pretty low resolution though, so I'd imagine it would be somewhat pixellated...
  12. I bought a USB turntable last year as I had a few LPs that aren't available in any other format, so I just wanted to convert them to MP3... I got one with built in speakers so I could hear it live too, I was really impressed at the quality of the sound, and the recording... This is the one I got: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00COC61LO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  13. Massive thanks to everyone who came to the first Birmingham meeting on Friday, everything seemed to go really well... Thanks also to the supporting companies, including @SchoolsBroadband and @Wave9_Lee who are sponsors on here too... Looking forward to organising the next one for after summer!
  14. Thanks :-) (going to be planning the options for the meeting on the 30th next week!) Could potentially do something in conjunction with the ANME meetings around the country - at a pub afterwards - about 75% of ANME members are on EduGeek, so would be something that may be easier for some to go to - do both events in one... perhaps...
  15. Not a problem - we'll save your place!
  16. I'd certainly be up for these in the North West... And elsewhere depending on location etc...
  17. I've not done an official agenda yet, I usually do them at the start of the week of the event - mainly because not everything is confirmed until then... We'll be hearing from various companies which can be seen here: Birmingham Meeting 01 | Association of Network Managers in Education ANME There will be plenty of opportunity to network with other members attending, and talk to the companies to find out more.
  18. Agreed! I'd been unable to attend the after-conf meals until EDIT 2014 for one reason or another, but won't miss any in future! I'd definitely be up for that
  19. Still places available at the first Birmingham meeting next Friday 17th! Deadline to register is 16.00 tomorrow (9th)... All members in the Midlands have received an invitation... if you want to bring another member of your IT Support Team ask them to join and they'll receive an invitation too... Birmingham Meeting 01 | Association of Network Managers in Education ANME
  20. Good morning all! Invitations have just gone out for the NW meeting on 30th June at Park Hall Hotel... They're going quickly already, so register quickly to get your place... More info online: ANME NW Meeting 07 (NW07) | Association of Network Managers in Education ANME
  21. Quite a few accidents driving back to Chorley when I left about 1130... Glad it only took me about 2 hours though... Seriously glad I wasn't going southbound today though, the M6 southbound was like a car park pretty much all the way up to J26...
  22. It was good to meet you! Glad you've had a great week, i have too, awesome little half term escape!
  23. I'm impressed!! Serious willpower or just worried you're too tired to install it correctly? Lol
  24. I'm betting you couldn't resist giving the graphics card a go?
  25. I came straight from the Premier Inn in Milton Keynes, so I'm currently in the hotel reception doing some work as I arrived early...
