  1. Excellent! Thanks for you help and advice
  2. Excellent that looks great! Did you have many problems setting up? Did it take long?
  3. I wonder if anyone can help me? I need to setup a bring your own device Wifi network. I need the devices to authenticate against AD. I want the devices to be isolated from the rest of the main network and if possible each other. I only want one device per user to be allowed to be authenticated at any one time. I am thinking RADIUS on a Windows server 2012 would be the correct way to go and use with with our Ruckus wireless network but I have never set this up before. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  4. Thanks for your help everybody, I will have a look at the options given and let you know of my outcome.
  5. Good afternoon, can anyone recommend the best way to deploy fonts to windows domain devices using Group Policy? Is there a recommended way by Microsoft?
  6. I didn't mention that I already use diskpart to setup the disk. I didn't think it was important. I use this script: SELECT DISK 0 CLEAN CREATE PART PRI SELECT PART 1 ACTIVE ASSIGN FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK EXIT Does anyone know in depth what the Windows 7 startup repair utility does? I have tried looking on the net but found nothing.
  7. I use WDS aswell but I find using imageX a lot quicker in creating and deploying images.
  8. Hello I am having a problem when deploying a system image I have created. I have installed, setup and sysprepped my windows 7 image. I create an image using Windows PE and ImageX. I deploy the image with ImageX. After deployment and the computer boots up for the first time, I get an error saying "Bootmgr is missing". I have solved this error by inserting a windows 7 dvd and using the startup repair utility. Windows 7 then starts normailly. This works great but I dont want to do this everytime I deploy the image and I dont really want to create a fresh image. Does anyone have any idea why its doing it and any ideas how I can fix my .wim? I hope I have explained this well.
  9. Does anyone know where I can get Windows XP Drivers for a Toshiba Satellite Pro C850-10Z? Toshiba doesn't support official drivers for it on their site. Any ideas of the hardware or driver options?
  10. I need to install all the language files for just text. We have alot of non-english speaking children so we want to make it easier for them, but we only have English UK keyboards
  11. Hello, I need to install different languages on my client computers and set users to use different languages. Can anyone recomend the best way to do this? The server is running Windows 2008r2 and the clients are a mixture of XP and 7.
  12. Could I reset passwords on a server 2008r2 domain with a Windows XP machine?

  14. You've been very helpful, thankyou
  15. So when delegating control, can you minimise what the user sees in AD? I dont really want them to see everything
  16. How would the staff then see how to reset the passwords? Remote Server Administration Tools?
  17. I am looking at a way to give staff access to reset pupil passwords but not to give them any admin access. We use a 2008 r2 windows domain. Can anyone recomend a good way of implementing that?
  18. It looks like you can use exchange to deploy OTA Profiles and lock it down but what about buying apps? Do you have to have a different Apple account per device or just 1? Also how is licencing apps on iPads, do you have to buy them app however many times you need per device?
  19. I think i may just remove all screws and hope i can put it back together
  20. I have also been having this problem now alot, even with clients upgraded to SP1. What I have found out is that the DNS forward lookup records are pointing to the wrong place. What I have to do is to delete the computers forward and reverse records in DNS and also the DHCP record. I then have to remove and re add the computer to the domain. I also delete the computer account so i can keep the same name. This is becoming a little tedious now and would like to know why this is happeneing? This is an example of 1 computer we have that is doing this: Netbook101(Computer Name) - 10.5.91.191 (DNS Forward) Netbook101(Computer Name) - 10.5.91.145 (DNS Reverse) 10.5.91.191 - netbook030(Computer Name) (DNS Reverse) ipconfig on local machine - 10.5.91.145 10.5.91.191 - Does not exist (DHCP) Netbook101 - 10.5.91.145 (DHCP) I think that made sense above...
  21. I do have 1 for the Head which I have already setup and in use. We only have a windows domain with windows clients here. I have looked at this Loading… but seems quite confusing to me, its a shame theres no programs built to help you out with this.
  22. I know this is not a mac problem I am asking about but I did not no where else to post. We are looking into buying a few iPads for staff here, but i need help on how to administer them remotely. I have found the iPhone configuration utility to preconfigure the devices but the other enterprise documentation Apple has is quite confusing. Any ideas?
  23. I personally use WinPE 3.1 and Gimagex, creates and restores images fairly quickly and its free.
  24. Has anyone ever changed a HDD for a Sony VGN-N21E or has any documentation on how to do so? I have checked the official Sony website and they have nothing.
