Have you tried clearing the browser cache, it's a big dirty stack of JavaScript that can easy get messy with corrupted files behind the scenes.

Are you using self signed certificates, you may need to send the root cert to the surface and install it by importing it into trusted root stores so it will accept it. Some other devices may do this automatically or simply ignore the security violation like the consumer grade stuff they are.

Just plugged it in ourselves, read up a bit on vlans and sort some time to try different positions for the waps and you should be fine.

How are the file permissions set? Creating fixed size vhd's can take lots of time, have you tried making them through disk Manager and making sure the file permissions are set to allow access to the Hyper-v server service or the everyone group.

Do you have volume licence? Windows 7/8 enterprise would allow bitlocker which is an easier system to manage and will support efi.

Centralised management, better hardware with better power and more memory, more robust software able to handle more connections, advanced features that can try to balance between waps and manage power output and channels so the WAPs don't interfere with each other.

Try Windows 8 on one, it is way lighter and with nice small mandatory profiles should be decently quick. Its worth a try and probably easier than Linux in the event there is one tiny thing with them that it does not like.

Just to be clear, I have not had issues with ios devices on a ruckus network or an Aruba one, I was just pointing out that due to their behaviour they put more load on any wireless system. If you have the appropriate amount of waps then either system should work for you.

If they can both print from the same more generic driver you should be fine, we have 3 different Minolta copiers that are all on a single virtual printer queue, hopefully the copier tech should be able to set this up for you as they should know their gear and required drivers.

You're assuming the distance has any relation to how likely they are to show up, they may be even more likely to show as they have more organisation and investment in the arranging and traveling.

2.4 is not going to interfere with 5 unless the hardware is illegally bad. Given the device is probably not WiFi but just a digital radio that uses 2.4 it will scream out at whatever power level it sees fit that is still legal and will probably not be adaptive at all, this could easily scream over the top of what the WiFi is putting out. Stuff like Bluetooth and WiFi also have methods to cohabitate with each other, steering away from each other. Some random 2.4GHz device may just chuck out a continuous stream on whatever channel(s) it sees fit. If you force stuff around it to only use 5Ghz and no Bluetooth it should not cause issues, if not it will depend on how smart and how loud it is.

Australia would be nice, would be much cheaper than blowing $3-4k on just the flights to get to the hosting country. I have no problem with the refundable fee and would be covering all the expense myself anyway as training is not something that non-teachers get round here.

2.4 does not mean wireless, it is probably some cheap implementation that does not require patents or standards. Should be fine if you have decent gear with 5Ghz radio to work around the pollution. I do agree with the others that maybe something a little less 'educationally focused' like a gopro with wireless which will give you way more possibilities and probably way better quality for less than the visualizer or selling your soul to apple.

More waps and make sure you are on the latest controller and ap firmware, the ios wireless stack is junk and 'sticky' or so I gathered when talking to some of the ruckus engineering people. Despite their unfounded love for apple stuff they have had to tweak their controllers to deal with ios devices that hang on and won't roam, shouting to a long lost ap and polluting channels. I think that some time back there was also an issue with excess negotiation attempt but I think this has mostly been sorted by vendors patching around it. Never the less the waps have to work much harder with ijunk than they do with laptops, not just because of the implementation but also the tiny junk Ariels in them, you need way more signal strength for those devices to work so an area that works fine with a laptop may be completely unreachable via something with a smaller and much worse designed antenna.
