  2. many thanks for the advice all my 1st thought was diy but my boss wants it done asap by professionals with experience he's ok'd the spend so all fine by me as i get some training with it aps are 7363 not 7343 my fat fingers strike again , but good new that we have the newer aps's re: diy/guest byod access did you use layer 3 to segregate off the byod devices from your networks/servers or do you just use the RUckus guest module will contact net-ctrl tomorrow many thanks all again matt
  3. hi all, been "given" a goody bag by local authority consists of , ruckus zone director 3050 17 zoneflex 7343 internal access points , 2 time external ap's a load of hp poe switches , which are yet to be delivered now have just had a quote to configure and install all of this gear , which they estimate will take 5 days costing 4k anyone has this type of gear installed?and can they recommend any other installers to get quotes many thanks matt

  5. over 2 years now we aren't holding our breath for them here ....... only positive thing i can say is that staff emails haven't been spammed as of yet

  9. hi can anyone help me please , have somehow contrived to lose my copy of techsoft 2d design v2 , and need another copy of it have the license file intact so don't need anyone elses license just the software have contacted techsoft to see if i can download it from them , but they don't do this and won't let me me have a copy without paying them £10.50 for a "cd media" version can anyone help me please matt

  11. have you tried giving the staff full permissions just on the local printer in printer properties security that is what i have done here at brynteg and it seems to work , not sure if this works in an error state however matt
  12. this may be a bit late but try this How to grant users the access to add Visual Basic components i did this a few years ago worked a treat didn't use vbprogrammers grp just gave "everyone" full rights to these keys actaully looking for a copy of vb6 learing edition if you can help??
  13. its like this -- in a secondary school enviroment i hate inkjets and have refused to buy any new ones for 2-3 yrs now. However since the d&T sewing section decided to try and put iron on transfer paper into their nice very new colour laser ( with the expected results arrrghhhh ) i have come to realise they are prehaps a needed evil after all so the advice i am after is on the following 1: needs to be easy to unblock\clean most important as gummed up jets are the achilles of these devices 2: resonably cheap to refill not to worried about the price as it while it only be used for a 6-7 weeks each year and if the above criteria are met it should last at least 2 years any advice gladly accepted gratefully matt
  14. we have 9 servers 2 networks 450 pc's 2 techie types we manage ok but have our crazy times , sometimes they are even work related
