  1. I used the free and open source program Mp4cam2avi to convert Flip video files to WMV - basic, but it worked. MP4Cam2AVI Easy Converter | Download MP4Cam2AVI Easy Converter software for free at SourceForge.net
  2. If a password prompt is what he wants, give him it. It doesn't have to be difficult. Make a small program in AutoIt which prompts for a password. When compiling to an executable, give it an icon that is the one used in Windows Explorer to represent a folder. Then make your actual secure folder "hidden" so it's not visible. Users should see the "folder" (the prompt program), click on it, and up comes the prompt for a password. When someone enters the correct password, just launch Explorer and point it to the path of the secure hidden folder. You could make it go full-screen, black, green text, and a nice Hollywood-style message: "Classified. Please enter authentication credentials."
  3. Just lower the drink-drive limit to 0 and ban people from driving for life when caught.
  4. p-dave: Security - you need to configure this at the web server. For Apache, look in to htaccess/htpasswd; or for IIS you can configure something using the Authentication tab on the properties of the directory (I think). dgsmith: I'd be interested to see what your printed sheet looks like to find out how you group them together. I think if that was to be implemented, I'd have it so you could define your own groups - give it a name and choose which consumables are part of it. The dashboard list would then be displayed using those groups.
  5. Interesting video - thanks.
  6. Yeah, it needs some thought
  7. That would be technically possible. One for the future, once I've got Classroombookings 2 released, maybe...
  8. jamiess: Thanks p-dave: The files at GitHub have been updated now to fix those errors, so you can just grab a new copy of the zip file and copy over the files. I agree on your comment about the prices - I believe that to be the best way to do it.
  9. p-dave: Thanks for reporting those. It's only a notice, which can be suppressed by un-commenting and setting error_reporting to 0 in config.php. But I'm currently working on updating the code so that won't be necessary. I'll also look at adding price info for toners - the reason I didn't implement this from the start is that we've usually found toner prices fluctuate, so it would be only useful as a rough guide. There's also the consideration of: does it log the price at the time of installation, for historical/logging reasons, or always look up the "current" cost when viewing the report?
  10. It's not on the official list of supported tags. According to one internets owned by vBulletin, it's a DIY job: What is the "strike-through" or "line-through" code for posts?
  11. Not a bad idea, will look at that.
  12. Create a directory called session (in your case, within c:\inetpub\wwwroot\consumables) and make it writeable. Apologies - forgot to add that to the instructions.
  13. Sorry, should have mentioned how to get it as a ZIP file Thanks localzuk.
  14. Print Master is now available for download. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_hb6RYM32rvs/TJSVTvlqnBI/AAAAAAAADEU/A7IXMPrzme8/s400/dashboard.png
  15. I think Extron only sell via resellers, so find your favourite local AV company and ask if they can source the product you want. A quick Google revealed ITM Components, but we've used GV Multimedia before and they have supplied a few Extron AV products so might be able to get hold of something for you.
  16. Extron. Exactly what you want: Extron A/V Switchers - SW 12A & SW 12A RCA http://www.extron.com/product/img-lg/sw12a_60-483-30.jpg
  17. Looks perfectly safe to me. Large platform area, footed at the base by a co-worker, he's not over-reaching or twisting his body. The only thing potentially missing is a hazard cone
  18. Let's implement ACLs on the power grid so we can politely decline electricity coming from coal power stations - that'll fix the problem.
  19. Yep. __
  20. Easiest way is to create a distribution list and add that person as a member. Harder way is to implement the GAL sync account, and add them manually to its address book. More info on that here: GAL Browsing in 6.0 - Page 2 - Zimbra :: Forums
  21. Is your GAL configured as Internal or Active Directory/LDAP?
  22. When we've had faulty PSUs in the past, a quick check with a multimeter has always given a 0 volt reading - that saves a lot of messing around swapping. Also, when the IWBs that are connected to Becta boxes fail, we've just bypassed it and ran new separate cables. Does that board work in another room?
  23. Moving a WordPress site has recently been discussed - this thread may contain some useful links/information: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/web-development/60362-move-wordpress-install-onto-server.html
  24. Try another computer on that port, or that computer on another port.
  25. In the forum thread view, this title got truncated to Microsoft "will no longer support Microsoft Windows®. I got my hopes up for a moment!
