I don't run much these days but when I used to run a lot, I found Sorbothane inserts a really worthwhile investment. I have them in my work shoes too, not that I run in them. It's like floating on air. I get almost all of my aerobic workout now skipping in short bursts. Typically I will do a circuit of plies, curl to press, skip for 350 turns and crunches. I like to skip in bare feet.

I wonder what you'll be like in another 30 years? I'm 61 and I might be tired at the end of the day, but straight after work, I go to the gym twice a week, do ballet class twice a week and a yoga class. I find ballet really perks me up, so I'm not tired when I get home. Gym on the other hand completely wrecks me; 100 pullups and dips is exhausting!

As soon as we heard it, the entire block would empty so we could have a look. Absolutely thrilling to see it land or take off.

At one place I worked, I was nodding off at my desk by 11:00am. There was a very good reason for this though - we worked 10:00 to 18:00 which meant that going to the gym after work was a rush, so I used to go at 8:00 before work. Pullups and dips pretty much wreck you for the rest of the day.

I've had some success with Free Online OCR - Convert JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, PDF, DjVu to Text although obviously it depends on the complexity of the input file.

What do you mean by basic shapes? You've been able to draw a square and a circle with the stroke path option pretty much from day one. The shape to path plugin handles more basic shapes that I've ever needed.

Chrome and IE here. Our MIS system only works correctly in IE, and our intranet, Moodle and streaming media server work correctly in every browser except IE. Does this cause us constant problems? Yep! Rather than saying "Have you tried switching it off and back on again?" our saying is "Use Chrome not IE".

I'm not sure that is the case. A few months ago I purchased a DVD recorder and last week a PVR and neither has a digital display. The PVR doesn't display anything except a red light which goes blue when it's on.

I have a Bradley watch which people struggle with - it's an analogue watch with no hands. It's one of the original ones too, which were crowd sourced. Useful when you want to tell teh time without looking, although I'm not very good at that.

I could tie my shoes too - my ex girlfriend (50 something) couldn't and thought velco trainers a great idea.
