  1. I thought about a mains fan heater but it means running a cable across the carpark. I guess I'll just have to run the engine for 15 minutes or so.
  2. Does anyone use one of these or similar? Browse for Products | CPC Our minibus takes hours for the heater to start doing anything and when I take the kids swimming and it's cold, even though I de-ice the windscreen, it mists up inside, once the bus is full of kids.
  3. I've downloaded it and registered. Be interesting to see what happens. I still use Premiere Pro 2 at home with Twixtor because I found it was not very stable with CS5.
  4. So you can get less for 4 right than 3?
  5. I put in 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and for 1 March 2000 it had 4 correct but only £7.46 winnings. Can that be right?
  6. What format is the tape; Hi8, MiniDV, VHS-C? Really need to know that first.
  7. What a great way to make a low-budget ad. that's watchable.
  8. Kids ask me "What's the password" to which I reply "No it isn't." I get some very odd looks.
  9. Is the US band Haim! It should have been this band.
  10. To be fair, the waiters also get slated for presenting the bill too early and giving the impression that they want you out. Also, their priority is getting food onto the table. I've found standing up indicates to the waiter that you are ready to leave and they will usually get your bill promptly. It must be quite a juggling act in a busy restaurant. In a quiet one, there is simply no excuse and that's probably why they are quiet!
  11. Until you get a heavy downpour and the rainwater backs up under the tile!
  12. I bought a couple of TPLink 85mbs ones a couple of years back and during that time, I have had a 1500µF capacitor pack up in both units. Not a major problem as they are simple to replace but I have now started to only switch them on when needed (watching iPlayer on the TV)
  13. The baby is saying "Don't just stand there grinning, PULL ME OUT OF HERE"
  14. Just what you need to jot down the offending vehicle's VRN
  15. You are no doubt correct when sound quality is important but on a plane, being able to hear the sound through a headset that is not heavy and cumbersome is the main factor and for me, these did the trick. If the slightest hiss or loss of some frequency response ruins your audio appreciation, then trying to listen to it on a plane is probably not a good idea. If I have any complaint they reduced but did not eliminate the PA messages trying to sell perfumes and scratchcards!
  16. I tend to mainly use headphones on planes and the engine noise can be distracting. My son got me these JVC HA-NC80 - Noise Cancelling Foldable Headphones with: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics for Xmas and I couldn't believe how effective they are. Flip the switch and the background noise virtually disappears. No doubt, the experts will say the frequency response is poor I should have spent 5 times as much on a Bose set but with my tinnitus, that would have been a waste. I'm more than happy.
  17. Let's spare a thought for all the travellers trying to get home for Xmas.
  18. Rudolph? And our Site Manager.
  19. I voted Yes but I suspect the Dr Who director would vote No. The scenes would take forever to film.
  20. I printed it off for the staffroom, it's even fuzzier on paper.
  21. I'd say fake. The baby just dangles like a dummy and the reaction of the cameraman and the parent doesn't ring true. Great piece of deception if it is fake and almost 15 million youtube views already.
  22. I was told The Fiddle was the worst pub in town, so I had to try it. They were right, it was a vile inn.
  23. That's a bit like the Ohmegooly Bird. It hasn't got any legs and every time it lands it screams...
  24. I had one until a socking great golden eagle carried it off.
