  1. They arranged warranty repair on one of ours (warranty expired) in next to no time. Guy came in yesterday and replaced it. If you track back through the posts on this subject, there's a contact name at Hitachi.
  2. I saw this advertised locally. Not a lot of info. but it's a good school. Search for Jobs and upload your CV | MSN Careers - Powered by CareerBuilder UK
  3. We used to have no end of trouble with remnant Kyocera drivers and there was (is) a driver deleter which did the trick. I believe it removed all drivers, not just Kyocera.
  4. That's it then. Don't expect any birthday wishes from us.
  5. PRM Green has taken broken stuff from us, so long as there's a mix of usable equipment. They'll take old projector lamps as well.
  6. Put some clingfilm in a goldfish bowl.
  7. Called Hitachi and they are still honouring the out of warranty repair.
  8. I guess I can see your reasoning I've emailed Hitachi to see if they are still supporting out of warranty projectors with this fault.
  9. How do you say NAS and EXE?
  10. Cassius Clay got his changed and it didn't even start with a "K". Poor little s@d.
  11. No you're not, you're reading my reply.
  12. I'm currently reading Donna Leon's latest Brunetti crime novel based in Venice.
  13. Thanks, I know what I'm looking for now. I was joking about the photocopy
  14. How do you let staff know that the email server is down and you are not going into school to fix it over the weekend?
  15. Well I think I managed, the vote count went from 7 to 8.
  16. Should have looked closer, the hits I got seemed to indicate general warnings. I still don't recall having received a replacement V5 but mine is just a photocopy because the dealer said he'd lost the original.
  17. When we bought my son's new car the dealer told us that last year thieves stole loads of blank documents from DVLA and as a result, all vehicle owners received new documents. I don't recall having done so and google doesn't come up with anything. Is he correct or has he been a second-hand car salesman for too long?
  18. Got the Y Reg Fiesta Flight for £900. One lady owner, 62K a years MOT, taxed until October. The service history shows she had the thing looked after. There's some rust in the rear arches but that's to be expected. It drives well and the engine sounds sweet. He had a bit of a shock with the insurance because he has been out of the country for the last 4 years, he has lost all of his NCD.
  19. Did a tour of the local dealers and didn't have much luck. One had a Y Reg Fiesta coming in tomorrow, so we plan to go and have a look at that.
  20. I have to say, it's the cambelt breaking that worries me most. Expensive to fix I believe?
  21. Thanks for the offer but a bit distant I'm afraid.
  22. Legal position for recording telephone conversations
  23. It's a long time since I bought a banger but my son starts work on Monday and needs transport. We don't want to spend more than £1000 because it's unlikely we will ever get it back! Any recommendations on what to look for and what to avoid. No doubt he would like something that goes like stink and looks the part but what he needs is cheap to run and reliable.
