  1. How does it compare?
  2. Cablet doesn't quite have the same ring as phablet... Shame!
  3. 0% Seriously?! DiskCryptor, albeit not quite as rounded as Truecrypt. Shame about BitLocker... As free780 has already said, an enterprise solutions is also a possibility.
  4. Good Lord no... I would be seriously questioning why that occurred.
  5. Thanks folks One last query... I take I need to select Redeemable Codes? Redeemable Codes: Download a spreadsheet containing redeemable codes which you can then provide to your users. Ownership of the app or book is given to the Apple ID that redeems the code. Codes will only be redeemable in the UK store. anaged Distribution: Assign apps to users on iOS 7 or later or on OS X 10.9 or later using a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, such as the latest version of Apple Profile Manager. You retain ownership of apps only, allowing you to revoke and reassign them as needed
  6. Ah that makes sense, I already have this... So I download the pay apps using iTunes, then redeem using Configurator?
  7. Can anyone shed any light on two factor authentication for Office 365 A2 (or whatever it's now called)? Can this be provided without ADFS or Directory sync or a third party? I'm not sure if it's possible, or whether an Azure account is required to make it possible. Confused!
  8. Quick query re the process of signing up to the Apple VPP? I already have an Apple ID... However I'm uncertain as to whether I need to create a new Apple ID when initially signing up to the VPP.
  9. Ahh that explains it, it's an earlier model.
  10. I think you're possibly on about a much earlier model, anti-glare has been in the range for a while now. Plus the screens are going to be heavy, they're reinforced! CleverTouch C-Touch Alpha Touch BenQ Iiyama Genee There's a lot of choice, it's worth getting demos arranged and weighing up after sales support, plus the bundled software.
  11. Or secure it!? The person seems to indicate an authentication request is prompted upon accessing the 'internet'.
  12. Or secure the existing system!? Actually, the person inidcates an authentication request prompts users prior to accessing the internet, not when connecting to the network.
  13. What?! Even when it's potentially unsecured?
  14. A virus wouldn't be high on my concern radar You need to give more info... What AV? What AV management? What kind of school? You wouldn't need much skill to traverse across an unsecured network... Car park, laptop, ip scanner, open network shares = whole world of pain
  15. It could also be imposed using filtering by the local authority Doesn't sound like the in-house setup is wonderful, so I'm inclined to go with LA filtering... LightSpeed perhaps?
  16. Erm enterprise network or not, I would think wise and secure your wireless network as it stands.
  17. Hmmm... 1. Secure the wireless network. Find out what the school BYOD policy is (I'm guessing they don't have one), in which case bring one into play. Set-up a guest network. Find out what filtering is in place. Find out who is the ISP. 2. Audit the network, list when the hardware was purchased (all of it), including what warranties are in place. 3. Get writing a business proposal. 4. Keep your fingers crossed.
  18. What's your track record? Are you new to the sector?
  19. Couldn't agree more with this... I've witnessed lots of messy installs by 'wireless specialists', mainly in education new builds. The mess coming after a lack of communication between the electricians and WS, resulting in patches for the WAP's being dotted all over the cabinet. Okay, so colour coordinated leads can be used, however the end result always looks untidy and takes longer to troubleshoot.
  20. Can anyone recommend a ruckus reseller in the uk? I'm looking to source a quote.
  21. I second the above, I used to rate/ supply Meraki based on the MX SA's, however after experience of wishy washy after sales, we're now staying well clear.
  22. I'm guessing this is the answer... osx - Where does Apple Configurator store ipsw downloads? - Ask Different
  23. Sorry should have explained better, is there any way I can push out the 7.2.1 firmware from the local host, rather than downloading from the internet?
  24. Been meaning to ask this for a while... Why is it whenever I connect a brand new iPad to Apple Configurator, Configurator wants to blitz the device... Surely this can be avoided? I'm likely being thick, so please help a frustrated tech.
