  1. You can pick up a 2960 pretty cheap on ebay
  2. Thanks so much for this.
  3. Thank you
  4. Does anyone have a Group Policy method for changing the Internet Explorer Default Search from Bing?
  5. Thank you, couldn't think of the blinking word.
  6. Could one of you kind people please inform me of what is the technical term for a set of scrolling images on a website page? Similar to the images on the main page for Apple.com, with the circular dots beneath to provide manual scrolling.
  7. Whoops, coffee required, thought you meant files... Yup only possible using File Explorer (IE) or the app.
  8. I'm sure I've tested Chrome with success, however I try not to use it as it doesn't provide File Explorer.
  9. Love hate relationship with all LEA VLE offerings, in that the LEA's tend to reinvent the wheel by offering cloud based email and heavily push their VLE email offering even in the event of a school already has an email system in place... Confuses the hell out of clients and leads to no end of questions. If the VLE can be hosted in-house and developed in house, then I see no issue, plus it removes the LEA as a middleman.
  10. Has anyone experience of using A Small Orange for shared hosting? I'm looking for a reasonable shared hosting solution with access to a cPanel.
  11. External firewall, for which the LEA strenuously deny has any involvement... Needless to say the matter is back in their hands.
  12. I'm having problems using any FTP client, in that connection fails informing that the client could not connect to the server. I've tested working from ftplive, however struggling using an FTP client. I've disabled the firewall on the client, this proved unsuccessful. Can anyone help?!
  13. Can I confirm that I will not be able to use Hpyer V Manager on a 2008 R2 to control a 2012 R2 server running Hyper V?
  14. Likewise, how are you finding eset in comparison? I've found the web backend interface slow and somewhat of a maze to manoeuvre.
  15. Can anyone please point out the difference between OVS-ES and EES?
  16. Excellent, thanks. We currently have a Select Agreement, however the OVS-ES is definitely the route we're going to take.
  17. So to get my head around this... Say a school has an OVS-EG agreement, the school procures ten shiny new laptops with Windows 8.1 Pro OEM licences. As part of the OVS-ES agreement, I can take said laptops out of box, re-image all ten, then activate each laptop with a key (MAK/ KMS) from the of the VLSC?
  18. Firstly I admit it doesn't take much to confuse me... So go easy! In regards to a Microsoft Select or OVS-ES agreement, can an OS licence be transferred from computer to computer in the event of a computer becoming end of life, or does the licence die with the computer?
  19. Who do you use to buy Microsoft Licences through? We've been using Phoenix software, however I'm struggling to get my new account manager to call me back.
  20. Anyone had experiences of using a Tripp Lite UPS? Good, bad, ugly?
  21. Due to a slow WAN link at one of our education sites, we're struggling to get iOS firmware update to download under 3-hours. My thought process is to download elsewhere and then take into the school and push the update into Configurator, however I'm not sure how I go about doing this. Can anyone point me in the right direction with this one?
  22. Can anyone tell me what Eset Antivirus is like for device control with USB sticks/ memory card devices? I'm led to believe the new end point edition has improved features. We're also looking at Kaspersky for this feature.
