That would surely put the nails firmly in the coffin for their own hardware?!

I think a lot of the brand identity associated with the Nintendo of old, needs to stripped away with the new NX console. If Nintendo don't target the more 'grown-up' hardcore game player, the NX will be dead in the water. Hard to admit this, but perhaps Mario needs to be laid to rest. OR another thought would be to create a Mario first person platform using a VR headset.

I really hope Nintendo don't stuff this one up, however the pessimist inside me keeps reminding me about the ill-fated Game Cube. I'm not surprised about the profit warning, the fact that they haven't followed Sega staggers me.

Microsoft to move out of the education market?

Confirmed at this end too... The official word from Microsoft "to bring in line with European pricing". -
Microsoft to move out of the education market?

It could also be argued that the whole education discount scheme may not be viable to them anymore... Given the sizable redundancies MS made over the past couple of years, coupled with some of the failed product investment (**cough** Lumia). There's never been any uncertainty that Nadella has wanted to do this for some time now, the only bitter pill is not knowing if the rug is going to be completely pulled, or prices for on prem products will go up to appease lost revenues. Not nice to read, but I guess the ship had to set sail at some point. -

Best not put Datacentre on anything in a hurry... Scoff! -
Does anyone know if Microsoft plan to enable this within Office 365 OneDrive? The fact that the classic layout will soon be removed, will prevent users using the File Explore option to add/ remove files en masse. I'm confused by the Microsoft strategy with this one, I still believe SharePoint should have been an optional extra (at cost), and that MS should have used the OneDrive personal version within Office 365. If Google can do, surely Microsoft can too!?!?

Sorry when I say borked, I mean it sat at 42% during the download stage. It allowed me to gracefully cancel the download... My bad for not explaining myself properly... I now realise what the missus is talking about.

Mmm yep tried that, seemingly it doesn't work, informs me my device is up-to-date.

I received an update on my Moto X Play on Monday, informing that the Marshmallow update was finally ready for download. Alas the update borked at 42%, resulting in me having no option but to cancel out of the update. Has anyone experienced a failed update, and if so when do update usually get reissued? Is there a set time frame of 24/ 48 hours?

That won't break the bank and would certainly solve my love/ hate relationship with the Outlook alternative.

Is this app free? I've been using the Outlook app, which albeit improving slowly, doesn't play well with the moto 360.

The last version of Windows - Where do Microsoft go from here?
Mr_Jiminy replied to flyinghaggis's topic in General Chat
As a not-for-profit MSP we work and promote multiple platforms, however if I had to work with just Apple and Google, I suspect my mind would soon turn to mush. -
Have you got a approximated expenditure for this project? It would help a great deal to know this before hand. Also, sounds like the existing server is an 'all eggs in one basket' set-up, so I'm guessing this includes files?

Did anything progress with this? We are in a similar position whereby a small primary school and bigger high school site within the same MAT, would like to share data across two, until now, separate networks. The two sites are approximately 5 miles apart and the high school site has rather a small IT department with limited knowledge. Based on the limited support at the high school and with a number of methods available, we find ourselves in a cautious position of not knowing which is the most practical solution.

[ipad] Newbie using Apple Configurator 2, feeling overwhelmed
Mr_Jiminy replied to bethany4143's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
I agree, but it's still very handy for mass iOS update deployment. Can't speak for Maraki, but I'm sure Configurator compliments LightSpeed Mobile Manager, in that additional MDM features are provided on the basis of the iPad being in Superised mode.- 10 replies
