Ah I see what you mean. I think you have the beast course of action in this case. Don't think you can do much more, other than whitelist the odd game. -

I would have thought you would want all the "games" from the site concerned say "Zut" so whitelisting the domain name will work. If you want to do it on a game by game basis you will need to whitelist the individual urls for each blocked flash plugin. It can be done, but I would personally suggest maybe life is to short for that. -
I think the free version of Qlab will do that as well, just don't have a mac to run it on. As far as pupils wanting to get involved things seem to have dried up a bit here as well. Real shame.
-
Can't disagree with you there! What I like to do is split the roles up, program as much as possible with the tech team, so they see the whole process and can dig things out of trouble if need be. I keep seeing staff using YouTube for music for live events which terrifies me on a whole load of levels.
-
@rpain do you already have a Mac to run qlab? If not it might be worth looking at show cue system on a pc.
-
That sounds like a Siemens Hipath system? Might be worth looking at sip trunks rather than ISDN 30 (guess what I was talking to a telco supply about this afternoon...) Are you looking at loads of extensions or would something like Lync or hosted Voip be a possibility?
-
@jbunoomally Thanks for the info. Are your lines ISDN by any chance? We can call a EE mobile, but the call is dropped just after it has been transferred to voicemail if the called party does not answer.
-
The problem here is going to be gain before feedback. That looks like a relatively small Hall with reflective hard surfaces all round. I would be looking at either using hand held radio mics (guessing that one is out) or maybe a couple of large diaphragm condenser mics, but if the students are not loud anyway they are not going to work.

No colour quota should not be enabled unless you want to use it. guessing you are using card and PIN? If so I can't remember if its primary pin or secondary in equitrac which is the card. Ours are set up for AD logon or card, pin number being the card number.
-
Is no one using this.... seems strange! Off list PM would be great if you do not want to admit it!
-
How are your card readers attached? our system uses the card serial no as the pin number. Have a look at colour quota, this may be whats stopping your printing even if you have balance for the user. It sounds like you may need to look at what you have set for user, billing code & department balances and charging... If they are not set the way you need you get printing not charged etc.
-
Does anyone have the SDK for these card readers? Gemini would like to charge me £200 for a copy, MLS want to just charge whatever they can... I cant justify buying the SDK without knowing its going to work, If I can find someone with a SDK install, I can probably swap some readers for a quick compile job...

Could other users of Siemens HiPath 3800 PBX system let me know if they are having issues with calling EE mobile phones? We have a very strange problem with ours that our reseller is telling us is BT, and that we need to do a software upgrade at quite a cost. Would like to gather some evidence one way or the other before we proceed with anything. Many thanks.

We use Vidahost, Yearly contract, and I think they support Wordpress. -
What do you need your lighting desk to do? If you went with a Ethernet -> DMX (artnet) unit you could use either Luminar or something like Lightingpad (which is £14.99) from an ipad, or Chamsys MagicQ from a PC. I use a linx 10 tablet and CHamsys mini wing for the "big" shows and Lightingpad for smaller events. Are you looking at moving heads etc or just normal conventional lighting?

I have been given the green light to look for ITIL Foundation Training. Could Anyone recommend a Training Provider? Ideally Midlands based but that's not too much of a problem. Budget is of course an issue, so looking for really good quality cheep training...

Can anyone tell me what I need to configure to get a Cisco router with pots ports to make an outgoing call? We have a fault with our ISDN routing, which I need to prove if its our pbx or BT! Not a Cisco Expert....

We have some Orange/EE sim cards. £5 per card, much lower cost per min than PAYG. No data though.

@howsono what are you wanting to do? There is no command line reporter, you can read the database directly, but I should stress that Advanced Learning do not support this. @pcstru 's powershell scripts look very similar to what I may do with vbscript...

MOD note Please try to keep these clean, this is not btrd so is available to your year 5s from Google..... Personally that's how I remember the last two as well....

Has anyone got this to work in powershell? An example would be awesome!

Does anyone have access to the Drivers/SDK kit for GemTag x501 RS232 Mifare card readers? I have 20 devices here, ready to use with a couple of systems, but need to locate the Drivers! I had hoped that eclipse.net would work with them, but I suspect its only the USB version they support.

Expert required : O365 mail flow problem need some advice
robk replied to round2it's topic in Cloud Services
Is your email routing via a LEA relay, or are you able to do put in mail connectors between onsite and cloud? You might find this https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn751020(v=exchg.150).aspx has some options to route your cloud email via your on site server etc.
