Only just starting reading books again having not really read anything since leaving School, I have never really enjoyed reading but thought I'd give it another try this year. Since Easter I have read Dark Days by Randy Blythe; telling of his arrest, brief incarceration and trial in the Czech Republic for allegedly killing a fan during a show. It is a good read with some unexpectedly funny moments and highlighting how the simplest thing can become extraordinarily difficult to describe with language barriers and cultural differences. It also details certain aspects of his personal life which was again unexpected given his introverted nature when off the stage. I have just started reading 1984, loving it so far.

I would agree with you but by Microsofts own admission this is not a new generation of console. I know that if they ever get there act together with VR that this would only be available on the One X. If there were One X exclusives that aren't VR within the next 3-4 years then I will probably jump ship to be honest, I wouldn't want to be subject to Microsoft writing off "current gen" hardware after 3 1/2 years; it defeats the main selling point of console gaming.

Very interesting but I still doubt I will get one, given that they said that any games made for Xbox One X will play on the original Xbox One I just don't see the point. Graphics aren't massively important to me (otherwise I would play on PC), neither is 4K playback nor VR.

That's fair enough, they have had a tendency in the last few albums of releasing the heaviest song first. Of what I have heard about the rest of the album it does sound like if you don't like their previous albums then there probably isn't going to be anything here to change your mind.

Yes, I drive too. A nice cheap 56 plate Yaris 1.0 as equally useless as a bike in ice or snow but at least I'm not falling off it.

What I will say (and I am a big bike fan); if your home or your route is out in the sticks what are you going to do when it is icy in the winter? I love riding and I will ride in all conditions all year except for snow and ice, it is simply not worth the risk.

I did a CBT on my provisional for a scooter nearly 17 years ago. It was absolutely fine training on the paddock, doing figure 8's and emergency breaking. We were told at lunch at we will be on the open road with one person in front and one behind the instructor, well I nearly produced enough bricks to hide behind. Having never been on the road at that point everything I learned in the morning went out of the window, I tensed up (not a good thing on a bike), got tunnel vision (i.e. only focusing on what was directly in front of me), nearly went into the back of the instructor when I was behind and ran wide on a left hand corner when I was in front. I eventually calmed my nerves and did much better on the second run, but looking back on it I was so vastly inexperienced in terms of the highway code, how the roads worked, the reality of being invisible to cars and still understanding the intricacies of my new scooter I was nowhere near safe. Still I passed and was careful enough to not have any issues; when I did go for my driving test I had been riding for a few years so I understood the roads and this speed up the process meaning I only needed 12 lessons.

Yes, this is the other thing I and the DSL are providing evidence for. We have everything documented from the configuration pages in Smotthwall showing the report schedules right through to evidence of the final outcomes from DSL action. Hopefully a handful of examples should be sufficient.

That's an interesting one, we haven't changed any of the search term filters from their default Education settings. I would say it is more important that we can identify who searched for it where and when, then react in a timely and appropriate manner.

We have the auditors coming in next week and have been asked to prove that "the school have obtained assurance that their internet and email filters are adequate and meet the requirements of the Counter Terrorism Act 2015". We are using Smoothwall and I know the solution and the way we use it are fully compliant. I have been looking all morning and can't find the thread it was posted in nor any such list on the DfE (or any other) site. I doubt 64GB will be enough storage once the 4K games start coming out. Look at Gears of War 4 now; that install is well over 80GB the last time I looked.

I have a Pro 4 as my main device at home, it does come in handy having the full OS on a very mobile product. Battery life can be hit and miss, although there was a firmware update just before Christmas and it has been better since. I normally can't do writing on screen like this but with the Surface I can, you can get different tips for the pen to increase / decrease the resistance of the screen giving it a more natural feel. I think it was the Surface 3 that had Wi-Fi issues, I certainly haven't had any.

My biggest frustration with the game is the camera during battle, especially if you're in the woods and instead of anything meaningful you get a screen full of trees. The side missions are more fun than the main story but ultimately if you're not enjoying it then you're not enjoying it. It doesn't have the same pull that most of the other FF games had for me, I have done all of the achievements but haven't felt compelled to play on beyond that. Whereas with FFVII I managed to get Aerith to Ultimate Limit, got a Golden Chocabo, obtained Nights of the Round, beat Emeral and Ruby Weapon, get Vincent and Yuffie and reached level 99 just because.

Well those times from Hamilton are looking ominous, assuming teams are running their engines at about 80-85%. If they seriously have that much of an advantage we might not even see the full potential of the Merc in qualifying.

I did this at my previous school, for the Geography department. In the main it was ok although some members of the department got it quicker than others. The biggest issue was if other staff got re-roomed to these locations, despite the tutorials they just didn't have much working knowledge of the setup and caused disruption to their lessons. At that point we decide on an all or nothing approach.
