@CAM - Thanks for this, I may send the majority of this to the others that were at the meeting. @AJWhite1970 - All those accounts having the same contact email address doesn't cause any problems? I take it they sign in with the handle rather then the email address?! @jmak - This is what I fear for locking it down, it wouldn't be my burden but I wouldn't wish it on anyone unless it was their full time job.

@jmak I take it at some point you have provided the school with your Twitter handle for them to validate your request?

Out of interest do you staff have school mobile devices to take said pictures or is it more like here is the picture we have of this student from our MIS? I suspected that locking it down may prove a difficult task, is there anyone that does?

When you say restricted do you mean that you're the only people who know the credentials to actually login to Twitter?

So I have had a meeting with the Head and a few other key stakeholders this morning and they feel that as a school we are missing a bit of a trick by not having a proper presence on Twitter (or any social medium for that matter). The main objective is to establish better, more frequent dialogue with parents. Being particularly anti-social I have never used Twitter, Facebook, Instagram et al, so I really could do with some advice. Nothing is set in stone but there are a few stumbling blocks that I came up with but don't really know enough about the inner workings of Twitter. One of the things that was mentioned was locking the profile down to just invited people so we could post material that may come under DPA / GDPR (thinking student images with names rather than home addresses etc.). However, my mind immediately turned to how do we know these accounts belong to who they claim to be, this could be resolved by a mass push on the collection of parental Twitter handles but this will take a lot of admin to get right. Do others lock the account down or do you simply not Tweet specifics or student images? Then there was the matter of workload, we would be looking at several people with access to the same account. Are there any potential pitfalls of several people potentially being logged in and Tweeting at the same time on the same account (other than accountability of the posts)? Ultimately I guess I'm asking has your school ever had a Twitter account, is it still widely used, what does your school Tweet about, to whom and how frequently? As always, any help would be greatly appreciated!

To me it depends on how long your hardware warranty is covered for. If it runs out next summer and given that you are a primary you might want to float the possibility (to SLT) of moving to a cloud MIS such as Progresso. It would come down to if it made good business sense for the school, but it would be one less server to worry about.

My most boring ride into work is still x10 more fun than my most exciting drive into work. It will become much more instinctive as you are on a new bike in new gear, you will gradually think less about that you are doing with your hands and feet and start focusing more on your surroundings. For instance; I changed my boots earlier this year and spent the whole first week accidently shifting into neutral and I've been riding for 16 years.

Brought Little Nightmares last night, currently on sale on Xbox Live. From what I have read and seen it looks very good fun, although a little short. Can't make up my mind on Blackwood Crossing (currently on deals with Gold), reviews I have read seem really divided on it. Anyone got / played it?

Not a particularly elegant solution but we don't give the teachers any access. Instead they send in a helpdesk request to change the password at the end of the Controlled Assessment lesson, students then can't access the area until the teacher tells them what the password is at the start of the next session.

Petrol - Ok, probably not a direct issue, but check if it has things like a petrol warning light or just a reserve switch on the side of the tank. Oil - Definitely check the oil level if you are even remotely contemplating buying it. Water - Difficult to check precisely but have the bike running for 10-15 minutes and make sure the engine temp doesn't skyrocket, this will vary by bike make and model. Defects - Start from the front and work your way to the back looking for physical defects, some checks would be: look at the clutch and brake leavers, have they any scuffs or cracks? This may indicate the bike has been crashed at some point. Check the bodywork for the same. If the front forks aren't sealed then check them, and get on the bike with the front brake on and push down as hard as you can to make sure the suspension travel is smooth do the same pulling backwards/up. Check that the front and rear brake disks aren't lipped, no visible damage to the disks, pads or callipers, the fluid levels are good and that the travel on the brake levers is smooth (i.e. doesn't stick). Check the chain tension, it should move about 3cm in either direction, check it for corrosion and that the rear tyre is in alignment. Check that the footpegs all move as expected. Electrics - check the working condition of the headlights, main beam, indicators, rear lights, brake lights (test this with the front and rear brake separately), licence plate light & the horn! Rubber - Have a good look at the tyres, make sure the tread is well above the legal requirements, make sure there aren't any cuts or unusual bulges on the tread or sidewall.

I have done her ultimate limit, its just fully restores and revives all party members and removes any negative effects (if I remember that correctly). As for getting her to level 99, no part of that sounds fun especially given that by that point none of the good areas for levelling up are available.

Very sad indeed; you would be hard pushed to find many people my age that don't or hasn't owned a copy of Hybrid Theory. He had been in the news recently criticising some fans for being stuck in the past regarding Linkin Parks sound. Looking at this he was obviously having a difficult time and I don't think you can underestimate the loss of Chris Cornell to him, they were apparently very good friends.

I can't find a source for this but I am sure I read somewhere that the car ferries to the IoW are the most expensive ferry journeys per mile in the world. We do occasionally get lucky with this as the in laws live on the island and sometimes get discount codes for Red Funnel, it does make for a nice cheap family holiday.

The only fault I can pick with this would be that every one would be lose all temperature in their tyres and breaks if they can't accelerate and break like they currently do behind the SC and under the VSC. Unless you mean in just the zone / sector that is under yellows?

Haven't actually seen it myself but apparently the latest update to Final Fantasy XV allows the Regalia to be driven off road. Not sure if this will get me back into it as I had pretty much explored everything I wanted to by foot / chocobo, really can't be bothered with the paid DLC.

The above methods really aren't recommended. It is referred to as block changing and can result in you being in the wrong gear at the wrong speed / place / time. Without making this a direct criticism you should be knocking through the gears as your speed is decreasing, this also has the added benefit of saving some wear on your breaks with a bit of engine breaking. If you don't have time for this then you are most likely approaching the hazard (in this case the traffic lights) too quickly, with the sequential method you also have the added benefit of being in the right gear to accelerate immediately should the lights change before you get to them. The only time you should come to a complete stop in anything other than first gear is in the event of an emergency stop.

My only reservation would be Windows 10, you simply can't guarantee that Microsoft won't change something in a feature update that interferes with the way the Serif software works. With the absence of development of the Serif software this could then render your purchase redundant. Your options on this front would be to run CBB and test every release for issues with Serif or as a last resort LTSB.
