  1. ARQ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5640450/ Another take on the groundhog day type of issue It was worth a watch, I thought
  2. Moved to Office 365 - by myself. One school was a nightmare, one was fine. Best thing of all - HT in this school made the decision to only migrate the SLT emails and the rest started from scratch again. (they were given time to download any emails they wanted to keep)
  3. The Fujifilm XP80 cameras. Pleased with them
  4. Wow........
  5. Well, yes, that is possible, but probably not a good way to be whilst in charge of goodness knows how many tons of lorry. I think he was looking ahead and not noticing that you had braked.
  6. This makes sense if it is possible - a tour is a good time to get a "feel" for the sort of company it is and whether the option you want is possible. It is certainly a better option than asking at the interview stage.
  7. What he said^ Although I think I may have said it many times
  8. I can see how annoying it would be if the candidate suddenly asks after the job has been offered - in fact I have been in that position as a school governor employing someone . BUT it is hard enough to get a job at all these days and giving them something that someone on the decision-making team can use in a negative way is not a good idea. I'm afraid employers do not care about you at all and if you bring up something they perceive as a problem that could be you in the bin. It isn't how things should be, but that's how it is, and if they have offered the job then they have made the decision that this IS the person they want and so they will be more likely to listen to any requests re hours. In this case the alteration is minimal and they would have to have a pretty good reason to deny it. It is possible to ask leading questions as @matt40k says, but be careful not to overplay your hand
  9. I wouldn't ask until you have been offered the job I'm afraid.
  10. There are some very good bits on the BBC website to watch. It has all been amazing - roll on the paralympics
  11. As a musician, I hate it when the sound balance is all wrong. Every live gig I have been to in small venues (not the Wembley Arena type of place) has the drummer far too loud so that you can't hear the vocals or the guitar. Also the heavy beat gives you a headache. Drives me nuts
  12. Didn't manage to get started this week Next week my old running partner from years ago is available during the day so maybe I will start running with him.
  13. You're Lion.....all of you
  14. That was so funny I Snickered
  15. Sorry, mine all have Windows 8.1 on them. It works fine though and the kids think it is Windows 10!
  16. Join a running club or a gym, or get a PT so that you can see what is going wrong. I am thinking of starting the couch to 5K thing. I used to run a lot but had to give it up due to the arthritis in my feet. But the worst joints have been fused and I am wondering if I could have a go again. I must get on and do something.
  17. To be fair, I've been watching the coverage since the accident and it is only now, watching the news, that they showed it again. Poor girl, I do hope she is OK
  18. Star Trek Loved it. Some fairly big plot holes but very enjoyable all the same. Definitely in the true spirit of Star Trek
  19. Definitely a good raincoat! (father is from Port Talbot so I can be rude about it too!!) Welcome
  20. I used a private PT. Cost me £20 a session which was one hour and we often went way over that
  21. @davidcvs Yes, I have and so has @Joanne. I paid for a set of 4 sessions when I could no longer do the high impact classes due to the arthritis in my feet. The PT was very good, he listened to my issues, he watched me perform various exercises and worked me up a plan which kept me fit and active. After the sessions he gave me a laminated printout of the plan and I went on using it without him. It really worked for me
  22. @LeMarchand Odd Thomas is a book by Dean Koontz and it is very good. In fact there is a whole set of books about him.
  23. Yes. I am at a Junior School and up until recently, a Middle School. i get to do everything - and I know that other than the NM there are some senior schools that don't allow the techs to touch GP AD etc. Speak to @Oaktech. He went from senior to junior and he loves it. They have got such a bargain in him - he has set everything up from scratch (see Mr Oaktech's massive rack!) and he works full-time. I am part-time but find that I have enough to fill my days. I rarely get asked to do anything else
  24. We have a whole IT suite of Think branded Lenovo kit. There has been a recurring issue that has taken 9 months to sort out. The second line support seemed OK but he was hampered by the back office support staff "looking into the issue" and coming up with NOTHING to solve it. I sent videos and all sorts. I had to escalate the issue by officially complaining several times. In the end they did give us three computers for free
  25. Ghostbusters I really enjoyed it - which I didn't expect to. Loved the fact that all the people from the original were in it too
