RM Easymail to be dropped within 60 days?
witch replied to Meldrew's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
@snagrat Maybe in your world. In mine, I had to write the csv files myself so the fewer the better And I had a nightmare with around 20 accounts that wouldnt migrate no matter what -
Humid, with the odd drop of rain. I don't want storms now as I am going to Mottesfont tomorrow to see the roses, and watching the BSO at an outdoor concert on Sunday. So what would we like to take bets on re the weather?

If you can persuade the schools to only migrate the really important emails such as HT, and SLT then the migration is much easier - one of my schools did this - gave the staff one week to copy and keep any important emails and then they lost them. It worked very well -
You could use them to create a 3D model of a computer network? One is a computer, one a printer, one or more a server - connection to the internet etc ? (edit: or glue them all together and call it "The Cloud" !! )

People who cannot carry a tune just need to be taught how to sing - as most of them will not actually be tone deaf.
-
mrwITch, who can't carry a tune at all, has just passed with 97%. I knew he wasn't tone deaf!
-
100% I should think so too... Yes, very few people are actually tone deaf - they just fail to listen properly
-
Yes, he is - but only for when he was helping me with moodle issues. As an enterprise technical architect I don't think there is much we do that would help him

It is just like one of those "magic eye" pictures that were popular a while ago. You need to focus your eyes on a point BEHIND the picture. Or just unfocus your eyes slightly.

I am currently trying with the powershell script on that site but I can get all the way to the actual disabling and then it fails. I will try to enable everyone and then disable as you say edit: I get a "positional parameter not found" error

@E_G_R2 I asked Microsoft the same question and they said you could not remove it, only disable it. How did you disable it for all users?

On the other hand..The old lady next door to us died just before Christmas at 99 years old. The house was a basic three bed bungalow with metal windows and the original wiring, plumbing, kitchen, bathroom etc and we did think about maybe buying it to do up and sell on. But it went for quite a high price - £365000 and we weren't sure about the profit margin. It was bought by a local middle-aged couple who started doing the fixer-upper thing for a living a few years ago when they were both made redundant. They are planning to turn it into a house and have extended the back as well. They will sell it on immediately. However, there have been issues - the foundations were found to not be deep enough for the extra storey, and so they have had to sort out underpinning which must have cost quite a lot. This would explain why every other identical bungalow in the street has been extended into a chalet-style house rather than a full one. Initially it took around a month longer to complete than they were expecting so that would be another month's mortgage to pay. It was on with normal estate agents though and they buy through them rather than auctions. They say it is a bit more expensive but they prefer to have the info and they have a good relationship with the local guys.

No, I don't believe it is. There is so much to be taught now, things are rushed through so fast, and teachers are expected to show that a child has made progress in every lesson - which all means that even missing a week can be an issue for both the child and the school. It is this that is wrong - primary school children should not be so pressured that they cannot take a week off. The "old" system, where a child could take up to two weeks with the agreement of the school, was better.
