  1. Hi @SecretSquirral Nice to see you back - but you know we arent all about education anymore so you could have stayed!
  2. I have some input into some of the more technical policies or those that impact IT such as Staff Laptop Acceptable Use Policy. But ultimately SLT sort it all out and the buck most definitely doesnt stop with me
  3. Didn't know whether to revive this thread or create a new one, and then I thought..to heck with it... I have been asked to put a QR scanner on all 70 lenovo YOGA laptops. Has anyone done it and can tell me how?
  4. Z Nation is coming back!!
  5. Hit the Button Mathletics
  6. Must go and put on my ipatch.....
  7. @GrumbleDook ????
  8. IF YOU THINK IT IS FUN YOU ARE NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH!!!!! (which is what my aerobics instructor used to shout at us)
  9. Wind River Slightly odd film - not your usual police searching for murderer -no duff leads, all very straight forward. I think the film was trying to make a point about Native Americans life but I am not sure it worked.
  10. Whilst I am not super unhappy with my shape and fitness, it just seems to me that however hard I try nothing seems to change. I eat fewer calories than I use on most days, I do core and Zumba at the gym and HITT at home, and I walk the dog for at least an hour every day. Most of my friends do much less than I do, and seem to eat more - cake and all sorts. And yet they are all pretty slim. As I havent had a dog for two years, you would think that walking him every day would make a difference too - and yet it doesnt seem so. Nothing seems to get any easier either
  11. They tried very hard to sell us the reading cloud - it all sounded great and would cost us the same as we are paying, until i realised that he was talking about paying the annual fee NOW when our renewal isnt for some months. Sneaky! i have started the library import today - well, i have asked the office to sort me out the CSV when they have a minute. Then i shall need to ferret out the things i have to do about leavers etc...every year i forget
  12. Yes. Staff slowly getting on board with using it instead of usb sticks. Plan is to set up cloud access of some sort for children's homework and then stop usb sticks altogether
  13. Back today. So far the usual password stuff. Nothing that exciting. Have just been asked to put stuff up on Sharepoint...not really my job - now, do I smile sweetly and do it or not??
  14. Welcome to all - @pennyl, @Datamouse etc Great to have you here
  15. The Hitman's Bodyguard Very violent and the plot makes no sense at all. But Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson are funny and touching.
  16. I don't like pickles....
  17. Midnight, Texas Has potential
  18. My sister lived in Stourbridge for years - I quite liked it
  19. Plan Z (netflix) Interesting independent film about Zombies of course but in a more "ordinary" setting. I liked it
  20. 23 years is no time at all for the huge changes to the infrastructure that will be needed. OK - so new flats have charging stations - but there wouldnt be enough space for everyone and the long charging times would make them impractical for all residents. What about people who can't even park outside their own houses, never mind plug in to a charging station? I like the idea of induction loops in roads - what we need is some method of tarmacing that automatically does the loops - 3D printing maybe?
  21. Take thee to the punny thread - or else!!
  22. I know of a converted Ford Transit - up for sale £1500 ono all converted - just needs a bit of TLC
  23. Oh look, all those newsletter articles I need are there on my desk and in my inbox (and today, as we have OFSTED, it is even less likely that i will get the stuff I need TO FINISH THE NEWSLETTER!!!!)
  24. Yes, I agree
