Morning all, we have a strange issue with internet explorer when it comes to downloading files, weather it be PDF DOCX ZIP or anything really, IE wants to download it without its filename extension, for example if i go to any website internal or external it and try to download a file called document.docx it'll try download it as document_docx Obviously then the machine cannot read it due to it having no filename extension. I removed Smoothwall out of the picture and tried via a backup ADSL line and the problem still exists, also used a different browser and it works perfectly every time. Has anyone had any experience with this issue

Wow this is an old post! with our current AD environment i would do it through group policy prefences user config->preferences->control panel settings and create a new internet setting : setting the homepages in the general tab (one per line)

we had this issue for nearly all our users, changing from userid@emaildomainname to userid@FQDN solved for most, for those who it didn't we just deleted their profile in mail settings and let outlook 2013 recreate it

Hi All, I want to setup a moodle course page where only teachers have access, I would prefer to do this via AD groups however I cant see any option link them together even though I have LDAP and SSO setup and working correctly - I would assume moodle should pull in LDAP groups but cannot find the option for it

Currently I have it setup for SSO which works great however users from home are complaining they cannot get on without me educating them to authenticate with the @domainname.local bit after their username

Hi All, I have moodle working with SSO internally however I would like external users to be presented with the standard moodle login form I managed to get this working in Ubuntu server however it seems like is IIS8 you cant have both anonymous and windows authentication without one conflicting with the other to achieve the desired results of SSO internal and FBA external. Has anyone managed to suss this out or is it just one for all?

I'm not wasting anymore time on this now, going to reinstall my server with windows IIS 8 to host moodle onto - Ubuntu server seems too complex when issues occur
