I'm trying to get DHCP to assign ip addresses on my open SSID network using Ubiquiti Unifi AP's (open set to VLAN 2), this is how my HP procurve 5406ZL switch is setup with port B13 being my DHCP server bound NIC and port B23 is my unifi, when i try to connect to my open SSID i am not getting a DHCP address, can anyone help?

A student ‘s exported graphics file (.htm) does not present correctly for her (pop up menus on hot spot not visible). But if I follow exactly the same steps on a copy of this file in my own work area, it works fine. I have tried copying back all the associated files to the student area, but then it no longer works as intended. Works for me both on students computer and at teacher computer (today). Also students have had problems with the simple export option (again creating .htm file) for interactive buttons. Image files are created on export, for the up, over and down states and put in an images subfolder. However, on running the export option, these image files are not created and the button does not work as intended – just a single state graphic file is created and displayed. If you use export wizard instead of just export on this graphic type, you should get an animation, however this does not happen ether – again just a single state graphic file is created and displayed. Has anyone else had these simalr issues with CS4 Fireworks?

Need some help! We are getting poor ping replies from switches in a new building cabinet, which im guessing is related to some issue we are having with slow network & timeouts from a couple of computers in that building, i've plugged laptops into the port the computers use and get the same results so am confident it's not the computers. In the cab is a top, middle and bottom switch as follows Top switch - 10.11.229.106 Netgear GS748Tv3 : Connected via fibre to core switch : 25 connected devices Middle Switch - 10.11.227.111 Netgear FS752TS (Standalone/Not Stacked) : Connected via fibre core switch : 28 connected devices Bottom switch - 10.11.227.122 Netgear FS752TS (Standalone/Not stacked) : Connected to middle switch via RJ45 gig ports : 15 connected devices All the switches have been reset back to factory default, given a static IP and latest firmware upgraded, here is an example of the ping replies i'm getting from the top, middle and bottom switches i've tried wireshark and seen nothing that is sending broadcast packets to 255.255.255.255 other than DHCP requests, but to be honest dont know what else I should be looking for on wireshark, does anyone have any suggestions please?

Hey All, I'm having a few problems with my wordpress install on my WAMP server, we're intending to move over to it to use it as our intranet (wordpress as a CMS with blogging functionality). The main issue is that we can't pickup RSS feeds, even if I can access the feed directly. I keep getting errors. I also get errors when trying to use the theme or plugin browser. I think it's to do with the proxy configuration of WAMP, but can't seem to find any solution on google, has anyone had the same issue

i dont see the need to backup any files from the local machine as windows 7 put everything in the windows.old folder anyway - I was after a way of rolling out a vista upgrade across the network, then doing the same for vista to 7.... if there is such a method that anyone knows about please share
-
Does anyone know of an easy way to roll out a windows 7 upgrade from xp machines? I'm currently going roundall our shcool machines one by one with the vista upgrade disk, then upgrading to windows 7 after vista is installed - there must be an easier way??

Pasted those settings over mine and made no difference, surely something else must be dominating the $enable_periods = True; variable? here is the script without the commenting : -

Sorry, damn wheel mouse scrolled to fast past your reply, think thats justification to get a strokey apple one! Sorted the "Meeting Room Booking System" title thanks, the file i'm changing is the config.inc.php (in root folder) - when i make changes to the $twentyfourhour_format = 0; variable it changed the 24 hour times on the live site, but still no joy with replacing these with specified periods. Realistically this is all i need to get it working but it's not doing it : -

Lol, was cleverly posted to get some attention, like a damsel in distress. Thanks Ricki just copied and pasted your script over my calendar setting but still the same issue, 30 min slots instead of the specified period - is there any other setting which could be overiding the $enable_periods = TRUE; variable? -

Does anyone have an MSI install of KLite? We have a policy in place which blocks students playing EXE's from drives other certain folders in C:\ Flipcams are being used now and they need to run the EXE off the flipcam but the policy is blocking them, you can still view the files by right clicking and exploring the flipcam drive but the MP4 files need klite or something other to view them. Would like to know how ppl are getting around this issue without manually going round each PC and installing Klite or VLC??

Stop students from mailing "everyone" groups
chrisjako replied to chrisjako's topic in How do you do....it?
Thanks this works for us a treat as we do have seperate databases, also found the option in properties of distribution group to hide group from exchange address lists What type of group do you setup so that students get added to this setting automatically when you add a new student to AD during the year? (then forget to do the restriction process) -
We use exchange 2010 and had a speight of students emailing the everyone and "all teachng staff" groups with imature emails, although sophos pure message blocks out profanities staff are getting peeved! I was wonder how others overcome this problem, is there a way to block students from sending mails to groups? or even better not show them the list of groups in the first place?
