Glad I could help I'm using Gamme too. Port forward and a SNAT rule works fine. The Gamma docs do say a 1-1 NAT, which in Smoothwall terms is a Port Forward and a SNAT Port forward Client - Gamma IPs Local IP - Whatever address you're setting from outside Services - Voip (includes sip). I added the RTP ports to this rule too Target IPs - your PBX SNAT rules Source - Your PBX Destination - Gamma IPs Services - VOIP and RTP SNAT - Tick Gateway - External IP which matches Local IP from above

We use ID store (part of crb cunninghams) with the Paxton net2 integration, works flawlessly

NEtwork > Settings > Advanced Untick SIP save Reboot

Another Canva here - it's free for edu but bit of a weird application process that can take a while. Got it setup with azure so users just hit the login with sso button and they have full blown premium canva with a team setup.

I've been getting this too and have been digging into it as deeply as I can. When a user reset password, they start typing and the second they get past 8 characters, they instantly get a message saying that it's a common password or discovered in a databreach (I know it's not - Keepass password generated....). Developer tools point to a call to an API - here: https://springboot-prod.priv.pearsonprd.tech:8443/v1/identity/password/checkDictionary Which fails with ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED in Chrome, other browsers show their equivalent messages. I've tried everything I can do to allow that URL. No dice. I've got a ticket open with pearson who just sent me this link: https://support.pearson.com/uk/s/article/Edexcel-Online-Forgotten-Passwords I've added all their required exceptions, including SSL do not inspect rules, destination proxy exceptions too. No dice. I've got a ticket open with Smoothwall who sent me a really unhelpful response (That doesn't match their unblocking guidance nor tallys up with Pearsons article) Needless to say - I've told them that's made no difference and I'm still waiting from both Pearson and Smoothwall. This is going to turn into them blaming each other and our exams team getting angry.

Tick the box on each of the steps in the task sequence that says continue on error. I suspect something is failing, it errors and reboots and skips the remaining steps. I've seen this a number of times with network driver packages that attempt to install, gives an unusual success code and bombs out the rest of the task sequence. Device reboots, you're sat at the login screen and lots of steps have been missed.

Having ran Smoothies for years with dual 1Gb connections with no performance issues and now 10Gb becoming within reach i'm contemplating the upgrade. I'm also running s15's. When appliance manufacturers actually publish their theoretical max performance, they'll give different figures for what you're trying to do. UTM/Firewall/VPN/AV/IPS/HTTPS inspection Look at the watchguard M690 and the Fortigate 400F, they publish their theoretical max speeds and they vary wildly. Some pretty intense firewalls there but still lack the feature same feature set that Smoothwall offers. Assuming you've got your Smoothwall connected directly to your core at 10gb, are you able to actually connect a computer capable of saturating your 10gb link directly to your core when nobody else is using the network and do some testing?

Capacity, IOPs, NIC speeds, RAID level, number of drives, Workload (archiving or running from)? Gonna need a bit more information. The RS3621xs is my current go to, previous versions have been the go-to in the past

Another vote for iSAMS here. Used it at my last school, the cost was great, support was fab, functionality was really good and performance was excellent. As for the email bit, it can email students and parents (Via their sendgrid integration). It can accept replies then attach them to the relevant communication chain in the student record. PLenty of external integrations available too.

https://freeradius.org/ That's what we use with Eduroam, you can set it up as complicated or as basic as you want. By that I mean you can set it up as a direct local replacement for your NPS. All config is gone through a config file, no need to go GUI.

I did customise it to fit our branding etc, I also removed the button to book a room for an existing meeting. Only complaints I've had are that you can only book one day at a time. We're using it for minibus booking so naturally the French teacher who wanted the bus for a week wasn't happy about having to put 7 bookings in, but that's not a problem imo.

Ruckus unleashed is the controllerless flavour, one AP essentially becomes the controller, perfect at home or a small shop type business. I've setup a number of Ruckus systems, ZD, SZ and unleashed. SmartZone replaces ZoneDirector, after changing the view, the console is pretty damn close to ZoneDirector. There's a migration tool built in, as long as you have compatible APs. SZ has two main variants, appliance or virtual, my last school I setup two SmartZone 144 appliances in a cluster with R650 APs replacing ZD3000 and ZF/R600 APs. Current school has virtual smartzone with R730's Everything I've ever touched that's ruckus has been rock solid. The later version (6.0 onwards) of smartzone doesn't support Wave 1 Wifi, but version 5.2.2 does. Another good thing about SZ over ZD, APs are individually licensed, not in blocks of 25 anymore

Wordpress all day long for this kind of thing. Keep it internal too. If you REALLY need the office 365 tickbox, use azure for authentication for logging in

I've used a bunch... Spiceworks - can work, bit old school though and best for single site. Nethelpdesk (Halo) - Big bucks but very customisable. Freshdesk - Love it OSTicket - can work, needs a lot of customising TopDesk - Big bucks, probably the most powerful helpdesk solution i've worked with though! 100% will work for a MAT, all their estates teams, HR departments, catering, roombooking, vehicle booking, asset management, PPMs - It's wild.
