  1. It is like an entirely different show. I do wonder sometimes if they plan this or just write the next series without knowing where to go.. kinda like star wars.
  2. I thought the ending was pretty good and season 3 will be interesting. With the changes to sky and the addition of HBO max I've started watching doom patrol... now that's one weird series. The boys is back which is fun.... I imagine its annoying the haters with its not so subtle digs
  3. Managed to get it deployed in a fashion. The shared desktops are a pain so I ended up using the powershell script as a startup script to auto log hem in to the client. The tray icon is a good addition but the sign out/sign in shows up a error when trying to connect to the 127.0.0.1 redirect page. There's alot of errors on the deployment logs in intune so Monday will be fun trying to sort it. Worst case I can just deploy via a usb for the stuck machines.... the intune deployment should look at the appdata file and recognise its installed and ignore it.
  4. WOW, what a pile of rubbish Hive deployment is. I might have to roll back to onsite as half the intune deploymentd are failign with zero error messages..
  5. System Tray App for PaperCut Hive | PaperCut Anyone got this update?
  6. It's in this document which I can't find online.. not sure if its been superceded. auto-link-users-when-deploying-papercut-hive-client-with-microsoft-intune (1) (1).pdf
  7. We only have 25 shared devices so I may just put this in the local group policy startup. Seems to work. %windir%\System32\windowsPowershell\V1.0\PowerShell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\PaperCut_Hive_Client_Install_v2.ps1 -region "uk" -userkey "##############" /orgId="#####" Only problem is I use the shared desktops for exams so they cannot have the Papercut follow me printer.. you can't use groups in Hive for deployment. Limit to user groups Coming soon Users in any of the defined user groups receive this queue.
  8. Just got home and it's the greatest MIS ever.... (I may have got swept along with the sales pitches)
  9. Yes thats the article. I think it will be fine for 1:1 devices but I'm going to look at deploying a startup script for the shared devices to run the same autolinking. The intune deployment looks for the app installed in their profile to reinstall it so leaving it in both places won't hurt.. as long as the startup script looks for the same deployment location. Got this to look through relating to the ID cards Converting access card numbers in PaperCut Hive | PaperCut
  10. Warfare Typical Netflix guff. Predator vibe without Arnies charm.. not in the same league. Really hope hail Mary is as good as I hope.
  11. I got a reply from Papercut which was helpful. I might end up just deploying the powershell as a startup script for the shared devices and intune for the 1:1 devices. I've tried to export the data from MF and importing to Hive for our ID cards but the codes are different.. it imports ok but doesn't recognise the card. Sharp did say it was possible so maybe they have a utiility. Hive does seem excellent
  12. So it does work if I have the users already in Hive. I'd removed them as I didn't want the email being sent. Seems to be okay when I go into company portal and install the user bit seperately. I'm still testing how long it takes to auto deploy to the users but I know InTune can take a while to deploy. Devices that stay with the staff and pupils seems ok.. it's the shared devices I need to look at a better way to deploy. I don't want it to no one can print till InTune syncs when a new user logs on. Also.. need to see how to export the card ID's from MF.
  13. I'm going to the iSams conference next week which will be interesting to see what they promise. A colleague went last year which was just a roadmap of promises. I imagine they will push all the modules we haven't got yet. I came from a SIMS school using it for 20+ years which I prefer (sorry) especially with classcharts or Edulink as a nicer frontend. (Been ay my new iSams school for 6 months) I visited Trent 10 years ago (the guys who invented it) and was impressed with iSams but looks almost identical.... and I haven't used PowerBi as I haven't got time to learn it. I did sit through the Veracross webinar last week... didn't show anything of interest tbh so no idea what it actually does... I'm sure its lovely. Everything's in iSams at present so any move is going to be a big job.
  14. Thanks, I got a lovely zany resppnse from Papercut response to check some stuff which I'll do tomorrow. Need to check the C:\Users\<student>\AppData\Local\Programs\PaperCut Hive\data\config\userclient.ident? location
  15. Yep, using the powershell. The article I was given was from sept last year but there's no updatesld document and I can't find the original on their site... It's one where you use powershell on the client deployment. The latest ones talk about using a script running after it's installed or a toolbar icon...
  16. Morning, Has anyone used this method to deploy the Hive user part? I've used Intune to deploy the system component and the user componenet in testing which works fine and I;ll probably use this for staff but our shared desktops may be more of a pain to deploy.. I could do with it auto linking. I did follow the instructions but it failed so need to read it more thoroughly.
  17. No managed by MDM I'm afraid. We tried marketing@ but no idea what the password is and iforget says This Apple Account is not valid or not supported This message is wrong as it did the same with maintenance@ and we managed to get this working... we had to use another device to reset the password. I can't trust that iforgot shows us that the email is the wrong one as it says its wrong on all the ones I tried. My colleague spent all day trying to sort this and we are still stuck.. even got apple configursator out and recover mode to see if it will give us hints.
  18. WOW.. Episode 4 had me in bits... what a great episode. Apologies to the actress.
  19. I've tried all the M names and shared accounts.
  20. Episode 3 was good.. more of that.
  21. Hi, I inherited the management for the iphones in school. I think we have around 15 for staff along with ipads. One of them has been handed in and is locked to the owner but I can't work out the email address. Its M******@ then my school I've tried all the M's I can to recover the password on iForgot but nothign works. No one knows what it may be either. We won't have the receipt as its a fe wyears old. Anyone know of any tools to at least find the email or is it toast?

    Veracross

I keep seeing lovely leaflets but hardly anything else. Maybe I should have gone to BETT. I was hoping a webinar I attended yesterday would shed some light but it was people saying how great it was.
  23. I watched episode 2 last night.. it's going the way i feared
  24. I watched the first episode of Paradise season 2 and thought I'd switched on the wrong program. Please dont become another Mary Sue show. Season 1 was an interesting concept.
