The registry key doesn't exist so I'm assuming that VMQs are not enabled as they are all 1gig cards. Also, the driver version is the newest which is supposed to mend this problem, and the problem exists on the host as well as one of the hosted servers and these articles all talk about this affecting the hosted servers. I've done some Googling and am having difficulty finding anything one this one; SpiceWorks emailed me on Saturday and told me that one of my Hyper-V (2012 R2) servers, and a server it hosts, were offline. I RDP'd in (the server which I RDP in to is hosted on the server which is apparently offline) and it worked so I just ignored it and thought I'd investigate Monday morning. On coming in this morning, the host and one of the servers it hosts are completely uncontactable over the network, but the other servers it hosts are all working fine. The host has 4 NICs which are all in one team so how can the host and one server not respond to a ping, or be able to ping out either, when all the other servers hosted on it work fine? This happened around three weeks ago too and a reboot sorted it, but it's hosting SIMS so I'd rather not reboot unless I have to. Any thoughts? Thank you Stuart

I had this on a Dell and it turned out to be that the physical NICs were using Microsofts drivers. I installed the Dell NIC drivers and everything went quick again.

What @Steve21 said for what needs to be on there, other than that your best bet is to look at other peoples and pinch their ideas. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery after all!

There's a built-in report called "School list by Reg Group". Edit that to give a CSV. Remove the DOB from it if you need.

What do you do for email? Assuming you don't use Exchange on O365 then you can disable it on O365 and that will get rid of the People, Calendar and Email icons. You need to use the "-DisabledPlans EXCHANGE_S_STANDARD, MCOSTANDARD" switch in PowerShell to get rid of it.

It's looking like it simply doesn't work in a virtual environment which has been segregated from the rest of the network. I'd assumed that the exchange server and the DC with all the roles on it would be enough, but apparently not. I didn't actually see if OWA worked in this environment before I applied SP3, so I'm going to restore it again and check. I wanted to restore anyway to double check my steps work.

I have inherited an Exchange 2010 setup with no service packs. The server is incredibly slow, and there are two databases on (one called "temp" and one called "Mailbox Database 0102828846") with staff and students randomly strewn across either. I want to move to 2013 (or possibly even 2016 even though it's a bit new still) but can't until I apply SP3. It won't apply. I have made a copy of it and a DC in a virtual environment in their own VLAN. I have come across so many errors during the process of applying the SP and managed to resolve them all up until this one. I'd agree with most of that, apart from the 'very little sand'. At the pier, there isn't a great deal but there is some, you head up the prom though and there is almost nothing but sand on the beach! Sizewell does somewhat spoil it......

I'm vaguely interested in this too. I thought I'd read somewhere that if you do this the clients get grumpy when you're using https as they can 'see' something in the middle and they warn you about certificates and the like. Is that correct?

My previous school did. Everything was done on ParentPay, and the students all had an ID badge with RFID in it for buying school dinners etc.

So does this one just pull stuff out of your profile because you've typed in your password so given it access to your account, or does it only show what can be easily found by anyone who isn't even your friend?
