Hi all, I use Veeam to backup my virtual servers. One stopped abruptly a while ago and has left me with a checkpoint which is still steadily growing. If I right click it, all I get is "Connect", "Settings" and "Help", which are the same choices I get in the "Actions" panel on the right. Any ideas how I get rid of it? I've obviously Googled, but there's a lot of quite confusing 'solutions' out there, and as it's my email server I haven't been brave enough to try any. If I back it up again, it seems to only back up the AVHD file, not the entire server. The only thing I have done (probably stupidly) is to create another checkpoint, but all that's done is give me another which is still growing. Any thoughts? What are the implications of me trying to move it to another host as the current one is running out of space? Can I safely delete the checkpoint I created manually? Thank you Stuart

You said the path is "D:\Shares\Teachers-Shared\Planning Archive\Computing\Evidence Video". If you can map a network drive to the "Computing" folder then the path will only be "X:" giving you a shorter path and possible the ability to delete what you need.

You could try sharing the "Computing" folder and then mapping a drive to it, then trying to delete it?

We've got 80" Genee boards with a seven year warranty. They've only been in six months but no problems yet, good support if we have asked a question, and the staff like them.

It wasn't Dell, it was Quantum Marketing and the incoming number was 01189022500. It was only when I said to him I'd just Googled his phone number and it came back as Quantum Marketing that he sheepishly admitted it. I told him I don't deal with liars and he cleared. Stuart

We're a couple of years on from this thread now. Has anyone any more experiences they could share? We are with the LA for Internet, partly because it means I don't have to worry about it so much; by which I don't mean "it's not my responsibility" as I know it is, I mean it's all done with E2BN so if someone else reports a dodgy site, all schools get it filtered without me having to do anything. They have now decided that we're all going to have an onsite Smoothwall. I have nothing against Smoothwall, but if I'm going to be forced to go down the route of an on-site box, I might as well look around at all my options, leave the LA and save myself a few £s. Not so much a bad label, but it was certainly surpising! Not sure how many people would test that standing in a shop?

If you go with EE Broadband through Quidco, you'll get £125 cashback, which is nice. However you also get a crappy router which doesn't let devices which have IPv6 turned on access the Internet, and the Wi-Fi keeps dropping off every few minutes. I may not be selling this to you brilliantly......... I was with PlusNet. Never had a problem. And you can get a fixed IP for a one off payment of a fiver.

I've always struggled to find a successful way to rip with the forced subtitles. Anyone got any pointers for that?

Thanks for these. I'll take a look at them. I was hoping for something nearer the £250 mark if I'm honest, but if we need to spend a little more then I guess we will.

We have two student's starting in September who the head feels would benefit from their own device. Don't mind if it's a chromebook or a Windows netbook of some sort, but it must have a keyboard (not a detachable one) and it must have a forward facing camera so they can easily take pictures of whiteboards etc. Any cheap recommendations please?
