Not an Apple fan at the best of times, but I'm now really cheesed off with them...... iOS 16 is very proud to tell everyone that you can now look up the Wi-Fi code of the network you're connected to just by clicking on it in the Wi-Fi settings! Articles about it are filled in the comments section with "At last" and similar". Why? I hate this! We only have 2 devices capable of running iOS16, but we give them to students occasionally and clearly don't want students knowing the Wi-Fi password is! Anyone know if there's a way of making it not visible please? We're planning on moving to a guest Wi-Fi with a landing page asking for AD credentials, but we're not there yet. Stuart

Local places will often replace a screen for less than £100. For the black screen one - have you got access to an adapter to plug it in to an external screen? Might help narrow down what it's (not)doing.

We stopped installing Teams for this very reason. We just tell everyone to use the web version. It does everything anyway.

I think they mean use the actual manufacturer driver from the manufacturer's website rather than the one Windows installs for the device automatically, or potentially an older version of the driver which is what we had to do at one point.

I'm not after turning it back on, rather making the Exchange MMC work with the accepted auth methods. I do need it to all work as otherwise I can't migrate anymore mailboxes from onsite to the cloud. It looks like I just need to the latest version of the Hybrid Configuration Wizard (thanks to my own tech for this.....) to get it sorted. Stuart

Morning, We have an onsite Exchange server. Quite sometime ago I set it up as Hybrid and did some testing with moving mailboxes up to the cloud. Due to reasons it has been largely ignored since then. I have now picked it up again. When using the Management Console onsite, there is an entry at the bottom labelled "O365" which I used to be able to click on and it would ask for credentials and then connect to O365. It no longer works due to MS turning off Basic Authentication...... which is fair enough. I am struggling to find what I do to make it work again as Googling any term which has "Hybrid" within it just gives me results about Modern Hybrid authentication, and leaving the word Hybrid out just gives me hundreds of results all saying they are turning off basic auth, or how I can turn it off early. How do I make them talk again please? Thank you Stuart

Lots of people here love this panel, which has now stopped working..... Anyone else getting this? It just shows a couple of arrows spinning around in the corner of it now as though it's trying to retrieve data but never actually manages. Capita used to, so I assume ESS now do, offer a tool which will do this. Use that.

Hi all, Thanks for the many responses. Next time I get one in, I'll try and run something to find the current proxy settings of the device and work from there using one of the above, but you're probably right in me not adjusting their settings for risk of repercussions no matter how unrelated! I'm sure we've all had "I can't print since you replaced my keyboard" type scenarios!

We sometimes get people in from the LA (in this case Suffolk) who wish to have their laptop connected to the Wi-Fi for internet access. The LA tie down the settings of the device and I can't even get in to the proxy settings, never mind see them albeit greyed out and unchangeable. They are always surprised and say they are fine at other schools. Can't just be me surely? The only thing I can assume is that other schools they visit are on the LAs broadband offering so the proxy they need specified back at base will also work in some schools? Is there anything else I can do? Stuart

We use SIMS .net Lesson Monitor. A HoY would like daily to view her year groups attendance for "today". I have been hunting around for ages thinking it must be a fairly standard report, but I can't see it. Is it a thing? Thank you Stuart
