How about installing the proper Outlook 365 that goes with the 365 account (provided it's at least an A3 licence)? Just sign in to office.com and Install Apps.

Just a small problem (isn't there always?) The original (plain text) method puts the file attachment name into the Subject line. They need this for conversation tracking. The new method seems only to support a fixed Subject line as a parameter.

Aha! I had been trying to use the recommended method of creating a Mail recipient Send to... type instead of making a simple shortcut as you have done. In my screenshot, Mail recipient HTML opens a new message as plain text while Mail recipient HTML2 opens a new message as HTML. They both have exactly the same command string! Many thanks for the pointer, I will have some happy Finance staff shortly.

Thanks - yes, our Finance people use it in File Explorer to send countless PDF invoices out. I've tried it with and without the /a switch and with and without the "%1" parameter. I've tried /c IPM.Note and IPM.Document parameters. Whatever I do, it opens a plain text message without the signature, rather than an HTML message with the signature (the default for new messages).

Does anyone know how to make a right-click Send to... Mail recipient shortcut as HTML? Whatever I try, it always opens an Outlook message as plain text. This is using Windows 10 and Office 365. Outlook is already set to use HTML for new messages. I have created a test shortcut in File Explorer shell:sendto With the content... I have found that you can get the attention of the SLT/SMT if you state your case succinctly (and your list is an excellent help) and present them with case studies of damage to other schools as well as good videos like the NCSC one for school staff. It's also worth giving governors a heads-up because some of them will work in industry and be aware of what's going on in the cyber world. They will not want your school to be attacked and will be prepared to listen. The cost of improving security is not always money; you can get a great deal done with just time and effort.

We're starting by making it an honesty thing by raising awareness of OS versions. Then we'll try and do it via our Ruckus controller and/or CloudPath if possible.

We have a policy that allows only currently supported versions of OS to be connected. W11 has been good since the early days of release. I can't understand all the negativity around it. The hardware requirements are completely understandable in a world of vulnerabilities and attacks. It's just people resistant to change, as usual. I use it at home and love it. We will suffer as much as most schools in that half our fleet won't comply with TPM and CPU requirements, so it'll be a phased migration.

I agree that they would be almost impossible to impart on screen. The communication between Minds reminds me of another novel series, the Cluster novels of Piers Anthony. Many of the opening paragraphs contain 'conversations' by intelligences with symbolic references as to who they are.

Well, I like Picard. It's the best of all the post-TOS series with better fleshed out characters and a suitably complex storyline. Then there's Jeri Ryan and Orla Brady. What's not to like?

Have you tried running the Command Reporter batch file manually and looking at the success/error messages?
