On thursday 13 teachers going on strike and the school is going to be closed to kids for the day(im guessing the head is a member of NUT? when support staff went on strike year 9/11s were in for the day). Remaining teachers/staff still have to come in for the day, so what are you going to do? I might do some network maintenance jobs that need doing, or suggest we do some extra training sessions for staff. If none of the above then im going to lock the office door and hide all day and get my back log of work sorted. Just off a 2 week 'easter' break so its not that bad. canteen is on a sandwich only day grrr food in there is really good!

Used to play WoW been 9 months since i last played (guild The Revenants on Dragonblight) now i mostly play TF2 as part of a gaming community called SAS (SAS Clan » Its a DoD thing). they have 200 members in the community 3 TF2 Squads (1 of which is based around community members) and a DoD:S squad. We also play CoD4, CS:S, Company of Heros, Mario Kart on the Wii and lots of other stuff. We will also be meeting up at i34 lan event in auguest!

sounds all too familar had the same run in with a teacher here not long ago. If you add a barrier the kids would rather spend time trying to get around it than doing some work... Always amazes me though that the good teachers have no problems with kids abusing computer access in their classes. Ofc I should have not mentioned this to the teacher in question

Are all the machines that dont work in the same ou? or are they spread across all OU's? I've had a few issues on old systems that wouldn't pickup GPO's untill i did ipconfig /flushdns then ran gpupdate /force also make sure your logged in as a domain admin not a local user when doing gpupdate

hmmm in the wet on my old Tyres maybe they were poop, not had a problem all winter since putting some Michelin Pilot Sports on. also once you know how it handles you know not to turn the steering wheel and stick your foot on the floor. so much grip in the corners, been round a few sharp bends to fast and felt like it was on rails I gotta agree on the warm breaks, but thats down to choice of pads. i would rather be able to stop when my pads are hot instead of ploughing into the next field!

There is a setting in Workgroup Manager that allows you to do this in preferences, Select the group you want to apply the setting too, and the option is in Internet > Web edit: pfft too slow

I dont know what your struggling with? so basically you have a local user on a machine. this user also has a network account and you want to migrate data to their network account. easiest way. go to the machine that its stored on mount their home folder on the network using their network account details to ensure correct permissions. copy the contents of Documents,Desktop,Library folders on to the server in to the corresponding folders. I would personally test if the Library folder was needed at 1st and pick and choose folders inside it (mail, preferences, Safari folders come to mind) it really should be that simple

I think they have it in the fine print that its a requirement to spend it on totally useless software and give the IT Admins 2 mins to install it.
