Scrub it. Why is it that as soon as you post a problem, the answer jumps out at you and pokes you in the eye? When one installs Sib, you put in the key you authorise the licence server with, it then asks you if you want to use a network licence server. RTFM. Don't just scan it!

Hi, I am trying to get Sibelius 7 to talk to the licence server that we have installed. The tests on the licence server suggest that all is OK, and there are no firewall issues. I think it has more to do with installing Sibelius with the information required to talk to the licence server. Has anyone done this before? Many thanks, Ben.

Hi Thanks for getting back. Just ploughing through the HP website. Very difficult to find pertinent info, so thanks for that. We bought a DL380 G7 not so long ago, but can't remember if it had that capability as we only used the one RAID.

Hello, Does anyone know if on an HP DL360 G7 server with a basic configuration supports multiple raid types? For example RAID 1 for the OS and 5 for the data. Or do we need a second RAID controller? I'm aware of course that there are so many different configurations of HP servers that this question may be a bit naive, so be kind! Ben

There is no escape. 2003 will not last forever. Why wait?

Thanks for the replies. DaveP, I have tried those links, and although the software and firmware are there, the restore disk, i.e. the copy of Storage Server 2008 is not, and being Storage Server 2008, I don't think they have an ISO for download. aptproductions, That is correct. They might have been filed under 'B' for bin. I have got somewhere with Dell recently though, and they may be able to let me have a copy of their recovery disk. Still open to offers though!

We have a Dell NX3100 file server that we are going to rebuild over half term. I cannot find the disks that came with it. Does anyone here have a 3100, and, more importantly, do they have the disks that go with it, or know where I can get a copy? Huge thanks, Ben.

Ahh, a useful snippet of info! eJay sucks on a school network. I will implement that fix straight away!!

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with this?? I am having the same problem... Ben

I found this: http://www.uptimescript.com/demo.php seems to do the job, but is $20.

That is the sort of thing I am after. It is simply so people can check the status of the network themselves. It need not be fool proof, but at least if our connection to the net is down, it would be simple for people to check if it is local to their machine or network wide, for example.

Hi, I have been looking on the net for a short while for some software that will monitor a few key servers, and their services, then give a simple readout that I can display on a helpdesk web page. For example, I could monitor Exchange and POP and a display on helpdesk would simply read: Email = OK Nagios, Zenoss etc. all seem overkill, and I seem to be unable to visit the web pages without some sort of logon. Any help appreciated, Bengaul
