To be honest I've never routinely updated drivers and only done it on an as needed basis. It tends to just get done manually. EDIT: Although if I'm building a PC I do get the drivers from windows update if I can.

I think it's because modern technology is so complicated that no one is entirely sure if it's broken or they just can't operate it. I'm probably going to have to drive 10 miles each way this week, because my mum can't figure out how to change the clock in her car.

It might be worth having a dig around on this forum; UK Business Forums - the UK's most active help and advice forum for owners, managers and entrepreneurs of small businesses and startups. I'm pretty sure I've seen it discussed. I would also hazard a guess that if word gets out that there's some form of tracking in use abuse will stop. Might he get away with only installing the kit on some vehicles?

The OP isn't 100% clear, but I think the guy's beef is that the school will be introducing a new timetable after half term, and by the sound of it it's been done on very short notice. We have a 2 week timetable here, but with the exception of a few small changes it's pretty much set in stone once we come back in September.

This is for 2007, but it should be similar. Open Exchange management console. Open up Recipient Configuration > Distribution Groups. Choose whichever group you want to lock down, right click, properties. Go to the "mail flow settings" tab, select Message Delivery Restriction and click properties. You can then restrict who can send emails to the group. EDIT: And make sure a bat is taken to the little darling sending the emails.

Xantia's have very inconsistent build quality. My folks have owned 3 of them, two of which were passed onto me. The first one was an absolute joy; Both my Dad and the previous owner hadn't looked after it properly. On one occasion my dad asked me to check the oil, it was off the bottom of the dip stick. The engine was obviously very worn, it used a litre of oil every 500 miles and sounded like a cement mixed full of bolts. Despite this the engine pulled smoothly (it was the 1.8 8v petrol engine). And in two years the car only needed tires, brake pads and an exhaust (all item that will wear out on any car). The only fault that occurred was an actuator arm for the suspention system came detached, my mechanic fixed it for a tenner. The other one, I owned for two months and then gave back to my parents after realising the following problems. The Engine fan died, There was half and inch of water under the back seat, The driver's door needed it's hinges re welding because it was dropping, There was something wrong with the fueling, emu, because it had no pull at low revs. The 3rd on seems to be ok, but then my folks haven't actually driven it for 18 months, so it's hard to tell. Seamed pretty all together on the two occasions I've borrowed it. The guy who looks after my folk's Xantias has advised against early C5s. I think the issue is they use the more troublesome suspension system from high end Xantias (VSX and Exective) and the XM.

If it has a fixed lens it's not an SLR, simple as. What's the camera you're looking at. If it's got a full set of manual adjustments it might well be a good step up over your current compact. However bare in mind the two cameras Gibbo mentioned are availabled used (neither are current models) for around the £200 mark. EDIT: I'm sure someone will be able to argue my first point by sighting some obscure camera from the '60s. But really it's not relevant, if however someone knows of a current digital camera with an opticle viewfinder that works through the main lens I'd be interested to know about it (just make sure you give Rawns some advice as well, it's his thread after all).

Talk Photography™ Is a good place to have a look. Both the cameras Gibbo has mentioned are a good starting point. I use a Nikon D60, which is basically half way between the D40 and the D3000 (a current model that's being phased out). Go to your local second hand camera shop, and try a few cameras and see what you feel comfortable with. I'd try to stick with Nikon or Canon. You're effectively buying into a system, Canon and Nikon offer the biggest choice of lenses (Sony are the next biggest, and can also be used with a lot of Minolta lenses). You'll also find it's easier to get advice on forums.

The technology would be brilliant, but it would be so unfashionable that no one would be seen dead with one.

The Citroen Xsara is, under the skin, the same car. It's also often cheaper. EDIT: Mondeos and early Focuses might be worth a look. However the diesel engines are meant to be pretty naff, until they introduced the TDCi engines.

PsInfo Might be worth a look.

Sims are quite guarded about what's goes on in their database. They also release patches every 6 weeks, and any of these could change the database structure. The general consensus is the best way to do this sort of thing is to get sims to generate a report with the data you need. A school I know use this method to use sims to automatically create accounts on AD and Moodle.

I had this once, Uninstalling the software, killing anything it had left in program files and reinstalling fixed it. But this was using 9.2. If you have an identical board it might be worth doing a switcharoo and see if the fault travles, if you've got two people it's fairly easy.
