Personally I wouldnt touch 64-bit XP as an OS, its not good and drivers can cause nightmares. If your looking to save money, have you also considered things like ICT recycled machines ?, ICT-Direct are on here and my school deals with them, we have no complaints from them only praise, 3 years warranty on very well specced machines and it comes in a fair bit cheaper than buying brand new machines and they all handle windows 7 very well.

Wales were terrible at getting the ball out fast, same for most of these teams, what I don't get comparing us to someone like New Zealand/Australia, when they play anyone who is at the back of a ruck or maul will get the ball out fast as possible, be it prop, flanker or center, whereas we all have to wait and rely on the scrum half to get the ball out, it slows us up no end, the tempo was bad for the games because of this, when its slow the defending team has enough time to regroup ready. Myself from playing front row at club level until a few years ago hate what scrums have become now, you can tell with referees in particular that a lot of them have never played within the front 5 at any point from school onwards, rules wise in some respects their safer than before, but theres just too much messing around with the start of a scrum now from my point of view. I looked at Barnes, because when he reffed us the other week, he was quite poor with managing the scrum restarts and he was bad for it yesterday, at times he dealt with scotland quite harshly, considering they changed front row players and he just went about ordering penalties and free kicks without resetting, Barnes is bad for me because he actually drags out the whole 4 stages at times - the "sit, touch, pause and engage" sometimes lingering over the engage to give penalties and free kicks away because the physics of a scrum. When your leaning forward ready to engage, you cant necessarily control the weight from behind and prevent yourself going forward at that point, because your balance relies on being in contact with the person opposite in the front row. I would like now to see referees going back to resetting scrums until they get things right rather than looking to award penalties/free kicks at the first instance, it will become a pointless restart otherwise like rugby league.

lol, a pub I have been in recently had actual electrical tape on its screens to "remove" the copyrighted logos off the screens of what they were playing which I found funny. I am glad this case went ahead and the result was in favour of the little guy on this one, its been a horrible monopoly for years with no competitive pricing at all (cable prices usually echo that of satellite) copied with even more ridiculous rules, such as no matches at 2:30 on a Saturday. About time we got to grips with these monopolistic practices.

When I saw Steve Walsh reffing, I thought it was going to be a poor game overall, he was actually bad to both sides, as @garethedmondson rightly said, hes been in trouble a lot of times and stopped from refereeing before yet wormed his way back in (only one worse than him is Allain Rowland - we all know thats another story though as far as wales are concerned). It wasn't a great game by any means, but I am glad we won, triple crown won at "Twickers" is probably one of our best achievements in recent years, its not an easy place to win ever, nevermind a triple crown, Scott Williams did exceptionally well ripping the ball off Lawes and running that superb try which went against the run of play completely. Regarding that supposed final try, I am sure I heard the commentating team state that if there is any doubt they simply cannot award it, dont know if thats a rule or not, but its obvious from what we all saw that no one could be 100% on whether its a try or not, regardless of national bias. That being said, I would really be happy if the IRB could sort out the absolute "nonsense" ways they have referees controlling scrums these days, it makes for an absolute farce when the scrum is just turned into a "penalty machine" for teams, like happened with France/Scotland yesterday, Wayne Barnes at times was absolutely ridiculously slow getting the scrum off, to the point where he was awarding penalties and free kicks because of problems he created dragging out the starts of scrums for most of the match.

there is an option on the MFD that allows "anonymous printing" on the device (i.e. the job being pushed through to the printer by any user, we could only print test pages on one of our printers here and nothing else, any other jobs were just deleted), though I am not sure from the post you made wether it was a MFD or not, we had this problem on our site, there was an option within the menu system that needed changing to allow to get it to work, can you let us know if it is an MFD one or not (i.e. has a photocopier built into it) if thats the case ill look for the option in the admin menu for you.

I was talking to a mate of mine the other day funny enough about cataclysm (he quit for SWTOR and already binned the game off as said previous) we both agreed that cataclysm is a very poor expansion pack offering, its very short on content or the epic feeling of previous expansions and raids we both agreed, especially the end game "Dragon Soul" encounter, this was quite poor and suprising how people blitzed through this, especially compared to the previous 2, MoP when we saw the news from blizzcon, we were both actually laughing on ventrilo about how it was some wierd joke, it seems on the offset to be a ripoff of the kungfu panda movies. That being said, you dont need to be hardcore in the game now to raid, the raid finder does pug style raiding allowing you to get gear and see the end game content as and when you want to raid, all you need to be eligible to join this is minimal gear that you can get from the AH/starting heroics, its worth a try for sure and its revitalised my gaming a bit now I gave up hardcore style raiding.

I played it in the Beta and found it to be not up to the hype my burnt out wow buddies were giving it at the time (I am one of those types that has a lot of patience for RP and I found the conversations with everything pretty much instantly tedious) It didnt play too badly I thought, just didnt offer enough overall to sway me massively when I tried it. I think thats the trouble with these "niche" mmos, having tried loads of them lately when you get over the initial "oooh lightsabers, ooh superheros, oooh phasers, ooh minstrel !" then there isnt a lot to stay when the initial interest wears off the games arent hugely polished or different enough to keep interest (at least from where I am standing). Lots of my friends have already give up on SWTOR, I chose not to waste any money on it myself after the beta. That being said, I cant wait for Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2, both look quite impressive while wows pending expansion looks a bit laughable compared to previous offerings.

I am wondering if they are going to push everything for students out through Dreamspark and their own webstores then looking at this ? I dont see how this wouldnt be the case as our school has just got ours setup, though it would be pointless them setting that up for a month, though I am in no way sure there, as @garethedmondson handles all the M$ Licensing stuff for our school.

This is the setting I use on our site to clean out profiles on every machine bar a few where it needs to keep the profiles and its done by GPO on all our windows 7 Machines (deleting profiles is not straightforward on 7 like it was on XP, because of the need to regedit). Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Policy definitions (ADMX files) > System > User Profiles Delete user profiles older than a specified number of days on system restart Delete user profiles older than (days) 7 Anything going over 7 days gets binned here with this on our site, excellent for IT rooms and I apologise for not being able to credit who linked this on here originally that I used.

after reading all these, I spent three hours last night rooting my htc desire and installing cyanogenmod onto it (as its nearing the end of contract - im a bugger for not playing with stuff while I still have warranty). Had a heart stopping moment when using evo as the connection between my PC and the phone dipped at a crucial point because I didnt have the phone flat on the desk(the connection with my USB cable has always been a little dodgy unless the phone is absolutely still) I wish I had done it sooner now, on balance, it feels like I have a new phone now, free of all the O2 clutter on it, I used freeyourandroid for part of it and the xda developers forum, what I would urge anyone thinking of doing it, is to do a LOOOOOT of reading before attempting it, not all sites give you the full picture at once.

I hadn't had much to do with apple macs since my solitary college publishing unit, then my computer blew last summer and I was using a macbook pro as a temporary substitute, from my pov and windows background it took a real effort to get used to the switch in OS and the differing ways of doing things, but I have to say I was very, very impressed when I got into the swing of it, they are slick and very polished products, when I have seen and used ipads they are equally if not more impressive, but the cost from my pov is the killer and why I would never seek one out over cheaper alternatives.

we use pcounter here too with konica bizhubs, our setup means every staff member has a pin code which ties in to their AD username here and we can control the amounts of printing and copying done with ease centrally

I am lucky too I think, wireless stuff works for me without any issue on my superhub, only problem I have had since I had it installed was that outage the other day, there is quite a few other wireless connections around me here but I don't get any problem, get more of a problem with phone signal.
