No luck so far, we have got them a few stages further. If you do decide to buy them you will need a few items: a multi usb adapter, an external cd rom drive and a usb - ethernet adapter. I have found that you can only build them by cd rom. The tablets are great but they are quite tricky to build to the network. However when you figure that first build out all will become infinitely easier.

Good Morning, We have recently purchased some new "Dell venue 11 pro" tablets and have been trying to build one of them to the network but with no success. They are running Windows 8.1, the usb-ethernet adapter is working perfectly, I have disabled UAC and installed all updates. PXE booting is no option as you cant PXE boot from usb-ethernet adapter. So I decided to Smartclient them. We also have Windows surfaces that I smart cliented earlier in the year with no problems. When I try to Smart client, after entering all details a message appears that says: Error Smart Client failed please rectify issue and re run Smart Client Process: Error adding computer to domain: the request is not supported. Any help would be great. PS. If you have an answer that doesn't involve bootable disks that would be great. Cheers,

Good afternoon, I have recently purchased some windows surface pro (first Gen) and have managed to smart client them to CC4. However when a child or teacher logs in they cannot get to the camera app, even through search it doesn't appear. It only worms when system amin is logged in. Any help would be great, thanks.

Good Morning, I run a cc3 network which we will hopefully upgrading to cc4 next year, we have lots of broken laptops that are in need of replacing and a ICT suite that is falling to pieces. I need to buy new laptops and new computers that will be suitable my budget allows me to spend about £350-£400 per laptop and about £500-£600 on a desktop. My problem is that I am looking for machines that will be good with XP and Windows 7 and will build to CC3 and CC4 with no problems. This means that the drivers will need to be available on both OS's. Can anyone help? PS. I find buying from RM soul destroying, so if that could be avoided I would be grateful. Thankyou.

Hi, We have a number of RM ones at the school that I work and they are all 4 years old and extremely slow. Would you recommend getting all new computers or upgrading them with 4gb of ram and getting solid state drives?

Hi, I have 18 RM ones in a suite and have had for about 4 years now, however recenly a couple of them have come up with "no signal" whenever I turn the screen on. I managed to fix it on one of them by taking the whole computer apart and then fiddling with some wiring. I would like to ask if anyone knows of an easier fix?

Any idea how to take the screen off?
