The 2 button was worn out on my old HP keyboard here, especially loved when they made it a 100% mana refund on crits with illumination for the mana you could get back on heals pre-tbc, pretty much meant that me and the 2 guild spriests could indefinitely heal the tank for the guild I was in, as mana never dropped at all on my pala The social aspect I think is what got me into it in a more major way than I thought I could enjoy a game, before this for me it was a lot of online FPS a la CS which I played from the first beta on a LAN. It can be very detrimental and engrossing too and its something I have had concerns with in the past, which is why I do not actively raid anymore, only LFR for me and I would rather pull out my own teeth than run a guild ever again, having run two moderately successful/casual raiding guilds within wow so far. I agree with a lot of the sentiments here in the thread, WOTLK was excellent, as was BC, Cataclysm was a big failure for me and the same is my opinion for Pandaria overall. I would even go so far as to say that Pandaria was blizzards "Windows 8" expansion I thought, everyone in the guild I was in at the time was remarkably lukewarm to the idea from the announcement and at times quite hostile regarding the expansion, something that was definitely not the case for LK and BC. Its not all 100% bad, they do introduce nice and impressive things nowadays, but I am tired of every patch altering characters abilities and making me have to consider switching mains. DPS has become a nightmare on some characters too, having to juggle and keep up far too many buffs and dots to the point where it is not enjoyable, so blizzards "increased complexity" was a fail for me. Neither of the last two expansions have been "impressive" to play through in the way in which LK and BC were, the sense of awe and achievement just wasn't there for downing Deathwing/Garrosh as it was for LK/BC bosses and the atmosphere for those two expansions was a lot more of a grab for your interest. I agree that the world has indeed become too big and cumbersome because of it, and levelling needs some serious streamlining, rather than giving you a £40 instading option, as you rightly said, professions need some serious looking at regarding levelling, because below the max level for the expansion these days they are largely irrelevant and a huge "grind/timesink" to get levelled, I know I never want to level fising from scratch on a char again thats for certain Their recycling bosses and content nowadays at a fairly alarming rate I think too, even when they "heroic" up things like DM/Shadowfang, its lazy and unimpressive stuff for me.

my parents can finally get fibre here and are having it installed on the 26th, they have 1.5 mbps atm down and 0.30 up, BT have done some genuinely stupid wiring to their house, theres an exchange much nearer (within 2 miles) that has a pole running within 400 yards of my parents house on the common land to a different part of where they live, but for some strange reason they have been wired on the telephone to an exchange at the max distance limit of ADSL and piggy backed off the local commercial estate half a mile from their house. Worse still is that BT have stuck a DP on their street here under a manhole cover on the common land, which regularly floods at winter for them, leaving them without broadband, which BT have done absolutely nothing about despite every engineer citing it as being something that needs to change. You wonder who makes these decisions at times with them regarding the planning and routing of the cabling, my only hope is that the fibre delivers anything over 5mb for them, as even youtube is a struggle for them here at the moment.

Warlock I am led to believe at the moment is the easiest. Hunters arent bad, though its same as anything in how well you play the class I think, im struggling to find a decent alt here at the moment that holds my interest so I have 4/5 chars with timeless/ToT gear. I played in Vanilla though not from Day 1, I came into the game about a year before Naxxrammas and was exceptionally clueless then as the game wasnt any way as helpful starting out back then, plus I rolled a paladin as my first character, which was painful back then.

I still play and enjoy the game and have Horde characters on Frostwhisper and Tarren Mill, I have a Alli DK on Auchindoun as well, just got the legendary cloak on my hunter to round off the expansion, I don't do any serious raiding in game here just LFR stuff mainly and the guilds I am in are fairly quiet as their just random level 25 guilds on the realms I am on. Its a bit quiet in game at the moment as it always is approaching the end of an expansion too, though if you purchase WoD you will get a Level 90 Character straightaway. I use powerline adapters too here in our home, their "ok" but the speeds are not brilliant (though I did buy a cheaper pair of tp-link ones) I would run Cat6 if I bought a home, ideally back to a patch panel in a stair cupboard, so the noise is quiet.

waiting to be moved here by our landlord (am a tenant with a housing association, which are decent and I am loathed to leave for private, which is pretty much double to triple what were paying now in rent) there is a major issue with rising damp in the house were in now and its also a small 2 bed house with no garden, thats pretty much full to bursting since our Son was born and we have no room really. At the moment were sorting out all our finances with a view to start saving for a deposit(nothing major just a small credit card to pay off and need to get more disciplined with money really), but that's a fairly slow process righting everything.

I have the Netgear VMDG485 (not sure if theres a newer hub than this, its the only one I have ever had) and its worked on the 120mb I have with no issues, I dont use it as a modem here I use it with everything turned on and the wifi range is "OK" I would say, I have signal over entire house and out on the street, though its weaker at the back of the house than the front. What I will add though for some strange reason the other day, the thing powered off and on and knocked off IPSEC and PPTP passthroughs, so I was scratching my head wondering why I could not VPN at the time, until I checked its settings and saw that it had done some sort of wierd reset from what I could tell, so I dont know if VM were playing around or not. Its not a bad item from what I can see, though its not exactly like you have a choice of what VM provide to you for your internet connection.

I started with javascript on codeacademy also when that site first came about and would recommend it too. I am and always have been interested primarily in the server and management side of IT here, while neglecting the programming, to the point where its something that I have been pretty ignorant of with computing myself over the years and want to improve upon, I am able to edit scripts fairly ok, especially as the LEA have had a VB scripting guy there who is excellent and annotated his scripts superbly I discovered on starting here, so I could understand syntax easily enough when someone else has put something together, but I have never had to sit and come up with much from scratch myself (I had to pick up some basic PERL scripting at one point when working online with a gaming company years back, currently I have had to script some flash removals for a bad update, which was easily done through a batch file on starting a machine up/shutting it down after an hours tinkering around) and I can use things like Powershell without any issues (the ISE) bit can help understand things better there too.

Makes for interesting times when I make the curry here, usually my poor wife coughing and reaching for the water

I noticed these days that a few of the magazines I read are getting a lot thinner on content, CustomPC was a prime example, its chock full of adverts, probably more of them than content, I noticed too PC Pro is getting a bit thinner as well. I do miss the "good old days" of PC magazines, I started with PC Format, which I graduated too after years of "Mean Machines" and "Computer and Video Games"

I use G+ to backup my iphone, seeing as I wont pay for more than the measly 5gb with iCloud, the Social Network behind it is good as well, its easy to select and get a feed full of interesting and appealing topics and not a lot of spam at all (I use ABP on everything here bar the mobile) Its just a shame that facebook has the monopoly, though I am seeing a fair few friends migrating over slowly as they get fed up on there with spam and nonsense.

I paid £12 here for a checkup, scale and polish the other week, my wife paid that also, she has to go back at the end of next week for a filling and thats around £32 seperate to what has been paid already.

ours managed to turn off about 18 months ago in error at midnight, I noticed straightaway at 8am the next morning because the sound was like a jet engine taking off when I entered the library, with every single fan in everything going flat out, had to get it back on and get the portable AC unit we have into the room and it took about 12 hours to get the room back down to its 18 degrees temperature, I would suggest looking to hire a portable AC if you can to help get it back cool fast if you havent got one, well worth it.

I am hoping they do it for my parents soon enough, as they are at max length on some extraordinarily bad part of BT Openreach where they are (their wired lazily off the industrial estate near them, which is connected via an exchange 5/6 miles away, when theres another exchange 1.5 miles down their road, also BT OpenReach stuck one DP underground on their street on the common land, which floods out about 5/6 times a year and takes weeks then to get decent service running again while the manhole drains. Today at their house they had 0.33mbps download and 0.09mbps upload

from my pov, I only had RL people I was friendly with throughout school/adult life, I wasn't up for adding in "Random Nobodies" like some of the people I was friends with and when they did post stuff that was objectional to me, I removed it swiftly, though I accept that you cant really vet everyone for their sense of humour/personality in advance I felt, pretty much anything done by me was retroactive or reactionary. The offensive posts (the particular one I did not want to see at all, I wont go into major detail, but it was a picture demonstrating a gruesome tropical disease and its effect) propagated amongst people on my list, either knowing or unknowing, but obviously, I removed them pretty much straight away as I had no choice on facebook and had to view them on the wall with no self-censorship. I remember reading a blog before that explained that most of this behaviour on facebook though is similar enough to the spreading of a virus/infection, people pretty much seem to either knowingly or unknowingly spread this stuff, usually unknowingly as they clicked on a "Free Shopping Voucher" link I found out a couple of times (its a major bug bear of mine that Facebook, never did a Sensitive Content option like twitter, at least when I was on there). Ironically now my mum is now getting into it bigtime and my wife still loves it and my sister uses it to help her business presence, just I am the person who can do without it in my immediate family.
