  1. Does the email show up in Exchange system manger in the message tracking center? If not is most likely the client and anti-virus as elsiegee40 suggested.
  2. On some occasions I've seen printers set to auto delete any incoming mismatched page sizes. So if the printer is set to A4 and you print on legal size paper the printer doesn't do anything but the client thinks its gone. Could you set the XP dns PC up as a print server and try the 2000 clients via that?
  3. Yep, you're right, I must have dreamt (nightmared) it. Read it here on teachernet
  4. To combine this with another tread, I'd switch to term time only so I could come in to work after a nice holiday in the sun and ask all the others if they'd had a nice break
  5. Its in both Bull and Barnsley councils interest to put a bid in as they would loose out on the revenue from the venture company, and also if they loose the contract for schools they'll probably have to loose staff - no tuping I'll bet from the venture company to the BSF company. It does go to show where there is a willingness to keep the current provider a part of the bidding process, there are options open. This does imply the ICT bidder doesn't have to be part of the main BSF bid - I'm sure I've read this somewhere but will have to read up on it again.
  6. Barnsley council who, formed a joint venture company with Bull Information Systems for all their ICT, have put in place measures to allow their current provider to enter the bidding process: Linky

    More BSF Delays

The impending doom may take a little longer than feared: BBC News Link With 3500 to do that's a long time before even 1/2 are done. If 200 per year after 2012: 1700 by end of 2018 All 3500 by end of 2027 That would average out at about 1/3 of schools being tied into a BSF ICT contract at any one time.
  13. How about sitting them in the cabinet on some vented shelves: Linky

  16. We use netmedia too and I can't find anyway of importing SCORM packages either. Their new website here says its possible using the MyLearning module. I did email our account manager before xmas about it but haven't heard anything - and I didn't make it to BETT to extract an answer.
  17. Is 1,490,000 the size of the mdf file on the hard disk or the amount of RAM the SQL service is using?

If its just one user, do they have any rules set-up to delete mail on receipt? If only all my emails would magically disappear
  24. @Geoff - Yes I do know how to use a search engine, thanks Plenty of meeting minutes but no real substance, no plans. Grommit had indicated that Warwickshire may have a BSF contract with RM. I was just stating that I could find no evidence that they have taken part yet.
  25. Funnily enough our head mentioned this to me the other day. I knew real-time reporting was the next big thing, but according to form the government want it ASAP A law was passed recently that all schools must report 3 times per year, but many schools aren't happy about it as it causes a lot more work. So the DCSF now see online reporting as the solution. Rumour is that SSAT will play some role in the development of this ......
