Follow on from : next-step-our-projectors-begin-fail-require-replacement What is the current state of play with regards to Interaction with displays, do you have Smartboards throughout that are used just for projection, are your staff mad on using the Interactive stuff, seems to me an awful lot of places have spent alot of money on getting interactive screens/ projectors that are just used as a display, has anyone ditched the whole Interactive bit??

This thread has got me thinking....My plusnet bill is £38 a month for unlimited fibre getting about 68Mbps, my 4G gets around 45Mbps just depends on whether I can get the same speed with 3 at home which is doubtful and tolerate the latency in games.

I dont get that, if the users are all syncing to Gsuite why does it need to use special ports?? if they are all on GSuite. I'll have a look thanks for the tip.

Well I imported them about a week ago, they still don't list like I assume they would, is there anything that needs to be turned on in admin??

So just signed up for Gsuite, all users have been imported and are syncing, when you go to share a file or send an email can you not just use the username and have it lookup the address in Gsuite? Our domain name is ludicrously long and having to type the full email address for more than 2 people would be a mammoth task! Google N00b

Is anyone else having intermittent issues with MLS at the moment, we have the DTech Kiosk and gatekeeper as well and it all just keeps disconnecting or being unable to lookup barcodes, the fact that it works occasionally suggests our setup is fine and nothing was changed over the summer, but had nothing but problems since we have been back. 24hours after responding to them asking if they can remote in, no response.

Well don't I like like a silly goose We load it into formatfactory as a raw video file and it comes out as a massively smaller avi.

We use FormatFactory to bulk re-encode the videos to avi first off to save space, unless they need editing in which case edit them first then re-encode, haven't been asked to do anything like this by PE though, but plenty of Drama videos.

it's been unplugged for a week so I gave it a blast with the duster and powered it on and it actually looks OK, bluish tinge has gone, but will obviously keep an eye on it, didn't actually see any dust come off of it. Thanks!

Thanks for the responses, it's 5 years old so is out of warranty, the fault is it looked like it was going dim the lamp was on 1800 hours so about 50%, I ordered a new bulb anyway but its just as dull, then when watching a specific video at certain scenes skin colour goes blueish, we have an identical projector next to it in a 3D setup and the same file plays fine and is much brighter on that one, have checked all the settings and both are the same. If it were a cheaper projector I'd have a look inside but these were about £4500 new. @Anothername that is what it sounds like yes, I'll try giving it a good go with the airblaster

Hi, we have a problem with one of our NEC NP-PA550WG its an expensive projector so we would like it repaired rather than replaced, has anyone used a projector repair company before? Preferably in the south east and preferably that had a colour based issue (we have a blue tinge) also any ideas how much this might cost??? Thanks

Sorry to resurrect...I've made the NR2000.ini file and Insight recognises it is there, but logged in as a parent I can't see anyway of trying to access it, where should the option show up?? EDIT: and does it only show up if the server settings in the ini file are correct?? not 100% sure what username and password it wants. @AJWhite1970 @howartp Thanks

Perfectly timed one of the PSU's in our Meru controller failed yesterday, whole controller now making a horrible squealing noise, if the other PSU goes down we have no WiFi (no problem in a Ubiquiti environment), Sods law our warranty lapsed 4 days ago, so we now have to search out a replacement PSU. Also the Meru returns process is horrible, we have had about 7 AP failures (out of about 130) in the 4 years I have been here, they take about a month to get them returned to you, and they managed to lose one in the post and offered no refund or reimbursement. In my previous employment we used Ruckus, the firmware was outdated so we sought to update, the only way apparently was to pay Ruckus thousands in support to get an updated firmware. I couldn't say what the Ubiquiti support is like as I have never needed it, worst case scenario 1 AP goes down and you buy another one for £150? I wouldn't even say I'm a fanboy its just so easy to use, cheap and has some nice features.

It's WiFi, it is a wireless connection to a network at good speed, what more do you need? Software has Vlan's, Radius, Guest portal. I personally also think they are the nicest looking AP's.
