Have you configured the wireless access points as Radius Clients on your NPS server?

Similar story back when they did this in 2007. The kids had something better so didn't want them.

Do you know what type of internet connection they have with what ISP? Sounds like my above post might be the culprit.

Do you know if hangouts uses any non standard ports? We have issues when Telstra NBN connections failover to 4G backup. Most of the ports appear to be blocked on 4G backup and for us it means VPN stops working for these people. Maybe a similar issue?

Not many in Australia here so you might struggle to get a quick response. Its been 18 months since I used G Suite so there might not be much there but is there anything in the logs found in the admin console? Is this the same single user or is it random across different users? Cheers

I hadn’t heard of them. Sydney is thousands of KM away and takes days to get there. It’s like driving from the UK to the south coast of Spain. I will look them up though. I had one of those as well! Loved that car.

After opening the thread “Golf Discussion” and being disappointed to find it wasn’t about the hot hatch I thought I would start this thread. Who here has a VW Golf? Do you guys do any mods? I have a 2020 Golf R Final Edition. I intend to get a dash cam and tints. The rest will be stock. Just a personal preference. I am thinking about plugging it into the computer to enable a few features. One is the speed sign recognition. This is my third Golf. One day I quite fancy a GTI as well. Personally think they look better than the R. Reply away with anything VW Golf related.

Your IP helper addresses are not consistent. What is the IP of your DHCP server? And What VLANS are having problems with getting DHCP addresses?

Did you add the helper on your Layer 3 (the one you enabled IP Routing) switch? I assume your DHCP server also has had the scopes created?

Do you have portfast configured on your uplinks?

Hello, You would need STP. But this should be setup already to stop loops? If not you need to consider what version of STP you use. Some versions can be horrifically slow this combined with some switches and certain configuration can mean clients connecting to the network take ages to get IP addresses. The value to spoke about is the root bridge. I will avoid setting this as 0. I would pick something higher. The reason being is if you need to replace the core in the future and have both old and new running side by side you can’t make the new core the root bridge as you can’t go below 0. It will work fine, but will remove flexibility for the future. What type of switches are you using? If you use Cisco it can be configured with just a few commands and you’re good to go. Others might need some more consideration. Thanks.

Is there a technical reason why the site isn’t HTTPS? Is it load on the server or something else maybe?

Why is it bad to leave it on a live server? Do you guys have lots of data loss? Surely love production networks are constantly maintained, with backup system etc. Data can be accessed as a drop of a hat without any dramas. Not trying to be awkward just genuinely wondering.

Its hard to tell what will happen in the future. One day 15 years time someone might want to review the data to find it doesn't work on their computer. Maybe a driver issues or a computer with out USB etc. Who knows what will happen.

Then you could have issues getting the data off the laptop onto a modern device. Maybe the laptop will fail in storage. Not trying to be awkward just thinking what if. I think that’s why it’s good to keep the data on a live system that is continually being supported and upgraded.

I haven’t seen a CD drive in a computer in years and this is the early days. Later down the track it might become an issue to read that data.

I would have a look at the Cisco 9200L. I have just bought some and you would have plenty of change from $10k. 48 port, POE, Stackable, 10GB uplink, Layer 3 ability for redundant PSU.

I was looking at it for our company and it does have its short comings. The extensions just start counting from number 1 and you can’t control who is assigned an extension via groups etc. Think I am going to avoid it for the time being.

Can you clarify point 2? You shouldn't have to create a route for each of your subnet. You should just need to create 1 for the desired destination subnet.

How do you clients detect the PXE server? Broadcast? IP Helpers? Or DHCP Options?

I find this a little strange. Our trust taught children the importance of this as soon as they go an account. IE Primary level/ I wouldn't have thought this to be in an AUP?

How does the link to the Fortigate work please? Did you follow a guide please?
