Hello, I am looking at some smart home stuff. I want the ability to turn on lights remotely via an app. Not sure what type of lights yet. Maybe the smart bulbs or a smart plug. I am renting so I can’t modify sockets, switches etc. Also maybe a smart air conditioning remote so I can warm the house before I arrive. Does anyone have any recommendations please? Thanks.

So you only have 1 layer 3 switch doing the routing? Is that the Cisco?

Have you put the static routes on both layer 3 switches? Just out of curiosity why do you have more than 1 layer 3 switch?

Something I should have said is the design of MPLS is usually generalised in a data centre or something. SD-WAN deployments don't use this design.

You might want to look at an SD-WAN solution instead of MPLS. You have an internet connection on site but can centrally mange and deploy policies from a single console.

Do you have SCCM? If so you can use that.

The modified dates are today. I know group policy is working as recent changes have been applied ok. I have tried this and will report back.

Hello, I am having trouble with some computers (82) being stuck in the Active/Passed state and not installing any Windows updates. They are completely ignoring the presence of the updates I have deployed. Some computers (in the same boundary) are fine. I can't see any noticeable difference between computers that do work and those that do not. They have even been built with the same image. Deploying applications and packages works as expected. We are running Windows 10 1909 & SCCM 1910 on Server 2019. We have a single SCCM site server with multiple distribution points located at different physical sites. I checked WUAHandler.log on a problem computer and this is the contents. (I know the log is old - its been an long standing issue) I have noticed that the registry settings in the below location for WSUS are not populated on the problem machines.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\ Manually entering these registry settings doesn't resolve the issue. I was wondering if anyone have any thoughts please? Thanks for the help.

If you reboot it will free up a small amount of the C drive. If might give you enough to carry out some of those tasks.

Toshiba have this as well. It isn't enabled by default.

Hello, We have a HP DesignJet T120 large format printer. The HP website doesn't have any drivers I can download. There is simply no link. https://support.hp.com/au-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-designjet-t120-printer/5263073 I have obtained the HP DesignJet HPGL2 drivers. However the tray settings don't seem to work. No matter what we do the printer will not print jobs from the roll of paper. Even forcing it in the print options. Does anyone know where I can get the T120 drivers please? Preferably without all the HP software junk as they are going on a server. Thanks

Citrix should work fine on a Mac (client not server). What issues are you having?

I used to 10 years ago. I don't use any form of VNC anymore.

Have you recently changed the certificate? If so the certificate will need importing to the HTML5 interface separately via Powershell.

Its a common "problem" reported from public schools here in South Australia. They want to allow gaming (for various reasons) but are restricted by an unhelpful government department.

RADIUS policies are such a pain! Glad it’s sorted.

^^^ This ^^^ I have done this myself today. If you still have trouble - for testing remove the Radius element and use PSK. It will rule this in or out.
