Roaming profiles don't affect documents, that's folder redirection and home drive settings. Roaming profiles is only for moving things like individual program settings around with you Steve

When you say Profile path do you mean for roaming profiles? If so it's best not to use them with Windows 10, as it breaks more than it benefits. You either go with local, or migrate to one of the newer technologies for profile management Steve

Do you use Impero at all? This used to be an issue with a missing exclusion on Injection. No idea if it's still an issue as I always add the exclusion by default nowadays Steve

Not sure if I missed it in another thread, but just to let you know "new" Edge is now being released via WSUS/SCCM updates (rather than seperate Edge ones) so expect it to start rolling out soon unless you remove it (1803+ it seems on our SCCM) Steve

That bit depends If it’s being done during the image task sequence it depends if it knows it needs updates So for example an old machine that’s rebuilt will know it needs the updates as it’s already in the collection that it’s deployed to If it’s a new machine it won’t install then unless you’ve deployed the updates to the unknown devices collections etc as that’s where the machine currently is Steve

Few things it could be really, but for the top level bits to start you off Do you have the deployment as required rather than optional? Is the deployment set to those collections with the client? Do you have any conflicting wsus GPOs set that’ll override sccm local policy? Steve

Are you pushing out the boot image as part of DHCP etc? That's normally where an issue like that occurs If it's left blank it should auto work out what it needs when you hit SCCM (based on the boot image linked to said task sequences) Steve

Are you using a 3rd party AV or anything? Tamper protection stops settings in defender being changed, so just wondering if it's conflicting with something you've got in a GPO like disable AV or what not Steve

Depending how often you're going to be using this, could you just re-design your thoughts on how it's going to be done. Might take a bit more work, but rather than re-designing the wheel etc Generate random long codes for each parent. Get codes emailed to parent, insert person who knows code linked to parent (HR/admin/IT etc) (assuming you have something like schoolcomms/intouch etc). The Form/Survey is public, but without emails being put in, but one of the options is for the auth code to be used (So like enter code: ) You can then just filter said results and remove any which don't have an authorised code Then head won't know which code was which parent etc, and IT/HR/Admin person won't know results as it's unknown who those codes are linked to Steve

Do you know how your IOPS etc are currently? Given the speed difference from HDD to SSD do you even need to worry about RAID10 vs RAID6 etc which should still be a lot faster and more secure than 5 etc but with the added storage too meaning could go with cheaper/smaller SSDs Steve

It's silly advice all around really. We're in the South, one of the lowest areas in the country currently, and all based on PHE advice after 1 teacher has tested positive we now have 150 students who need to isolate, and 9 teachers who were in contact on said day all going off. Just to check do you need to uninstall the old version manually? (Or is that more for belts and braces moment) I'm only in early days testing this for a roll-out at my new place, but assumed it changed the install location of the original version when you rolled out the allusers version Steve
