I guess it depends on the type of stack (management vs backbone etc) and things like uplinks. For example, if you have 3 switches stacked together, with 1 uplink each, and the transceiver/port on one stack breaks it'll still work through the other switches. Additionally, you "could" have things double uplinked into stack if you have things like AX wifi etc that requires more than 1Gb which would then give it extra redundancy etc Personally I'm not a fan of stacks "just" for management purposes, as generally find it's more likely to cause problems if something breaks than the odd time a firmware update etc needs doing across a stack, but for redundancy etc it's always a good option if you can Steve

Depending on how it was removed, you should be able to click on the SEN history button (under the SEN shortcut on student right-side) which will show any changes between codes, And the overview tab will show changes made in general (Linked staff are in the details if you open it) But it depends how it was done, as some routes will wipe it and not show it at all if done without the proper routines Steve

Whats in your XML file? It could be something silly like if you have it pointing to a local path and it's a standalone laptop that it can't access it If it's fully standalone, why not download the installers and transfer them across rather than trying to download it direct on the laptop? Steve

Yep, however if you do run Standard you can still use Files to Tape method for doing it (pointing it at the full backup repository). Obviously just not as good/proper way but it will work if you "need" it without Ent Steve

It doesn't "need" to be a physical backup server for it just would work better/faster, if you're already using a VM based Veeam you have choices to add a tape drive to "another" physical device whether pc/server, and add it in as a server to your main Veeam server, and it'll just transfer data across to it when backups are run. (Obviously assuming something has the connections you need like SAS/FC) Same kind of thing I did when being lazy with temporary USB backups, and set my workstation to act as a 2nd server with the USB repository plugged in, rather than going to backup room every day Steve
