  1. If you don't know monkey nuts contain nuts, milk contains milk let them enter and win the Darwin awards http://darwinawards.com/ A mate came up with the idea of a test you have to pass before you are allowed to leave school no matter how many exam passes you get. Just a simple common sense test (wonder how many teachers would pass) You should also have a common sense shed outside of a court that all cases have to pass through before wasting court time and money.
  2. This is my detailed breakdown Setup all the MAC Server, create a client MAC Image (which there could be multiple), distribute the image to all MACs and integrate it into Active Directory. Would we need more than one mac server? Defo only need one image, the mac are going into music and media So do you think I should tell them to go jump

  8. Thanks guys Nope, no hardware, thats separate. This is purely for doing it. Thought it was a bit over the top. Going to drill down a bit just exactly what they are doing. We are moving to a new build so its going to be chaos thats why I need someone to do it. At this cost I'm going start looking at it this afternoon. I've seen a post on these forums with some detailed instructions which might do the trick Thanks

  17. Hello All Feel uncomfortable posting a message like this on these forums but I have to try just in case you can help (moderators if you have to remove this post I do understand) This message is very personal and close to my heart and hope you do not mind it being sent to you. A little school pal of my six year old son, was diagnosed with brain cancer, just before Christmas, with a poor prognosis. The dreadful news came almost a year to the day when My son lost his dear Nan (my mum) to the same disease. The family have recently been offered a good chance of cure but it has come at a cost. Alex needs to fly to Boston within the next two weeks at a cost of £225,000. This is a very great task raising so much money in so little time but I would really like to pass on his appeal and hope that my friends and family may be able to pass on this message and help raise the much needed funds. Please visit his appeal site to read more about this remarkable little chap - http://www.alexandersfund.net/ http://www.justgiving.com/treatmentforalex I know cancer touches us all and you may know of other sources of help that would benefit this cause. Thank you so very much.
  18. No chance can they force this (unless its in contract) Makes me think about last job I had. They tried to force me to do similar thing. Contract said I started at 8am finish at 4:30 (I was generally in by 7:45 and working). So from then on I would not enter school gates till 8am and at the end of the day I packed up and was walking over the gate 4:30 on the dot. They then tried to pull me about this speaking about good will etc. They could not do a thing. 8 till 4:30 was my contract and told then I was not insured to be on site outside if these hours. They didn't like it but put up with until I left. Not a nice position to be in. Feel for you. All you want to do is a good job, where do these people get off!
  19. Morning Does any body have a copy of Nova T6 6.26 or what ever the latest is. My LA have been a bit slow in coming forward. It is for an SLT personal laptop. We use souls 3 so it does not update the sims setup files anymore. Any help would be great
  20. Thanks for the response. Can I setup the secure gateway on the same server that the web interface is installed on?
  21. Evening I have 1 public IP address. I have setup apache2 on Ubuntu with a reverse proxy for 2 internal websites. One of which is moodle and the other is a Citrix web interface website with published applications. Moodle is working, as it should. It’s the citrix I am having problems with and where I need some help. My external URL https://citrix.domain.com points to my reverse proxy which then goes to my citrix server. I get the citrix page displayed, can log in, and get the applications displayed, as it should. When I then select one of the applications it fires up the ica client. Its then that the process hangs and finally errors with servername:1494 timeout The ports on the County firewall are open 80,443,1494,2598 inbound and outbound. There is no firewall at the moment on the Ubuntu machine or the citrix machine. The apache ports config is listening on the ports as well. I assume it the config of the reverse proxy with port 1494. Or is there a change I could make to Citrix. Citrix is not my strong point, its presentation server 4.5 Any pointers would be a great help Cheers
  22. Glad someone else mentioned the "patriot". I speak about it here and people think I am nuts to worry about it. All I can think the only thing clouds bring us rain!
  23. Was just looking for some info on DataCenter Licensing as every clear as mud!! But I did come across this post seems clear enough Windows Server 2012 Virtualisation Licensing Scenarios Cheers
  24. Had my eval unit for a week now. I am not against iPads but these units offer much better all round functionality in a school environment. Can be imaged using sccm and locked down with GPOs
  25. Managed to get one on 2 week trial from HP. Very nice. Agree, with all the bits it could get expensive. Great being able to join it to the domain and get mapped drives etc. Easier to lock down / manage than an iPad would ever be. True multi user enterprise device where an iPad is a single user device trying to do the same. The case is magnetically sealed, no screws. You can get the tool that demagnetises the case so you can change the glass and Wifi card if needed, so you can repair in house when the little darlings break them. I like my iPad, but you can’t install SIMS on it. (I know Capatia have an app for it Curios though whether they can be imaged with SCCM Cheers
