Good afternoon, I've reimaged an Intune connected device from Windows 10 to Windows 11 via MDT and that device shows up in the Intune device list with the correct OS version but something seems to be going on with the Managed Apps, for example: The device does not have "Microsoft 365 apps for Windows 10 and later" or Sophos despite them both being listed there for the device in the Managed Apps pane, both of these apps show a successful installation on a date prior to the reimage. The device shows a successful last check-in time of just a few hours ago. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I'm missing or doing wrong please? Thanks

MS Forms - Insights and actions link to Overview
Bankesy replied to Bankesy's topic in Cloud Services
Thanks @Marci I know nothing of Power Bi and I have no idea if the spreadsheet is in a SharePoint doc library, there's just a link to it on the responses part of Forms. It says it is in my documents but my documents are OneDrive so I guess I can find it in there and point Power Bi at it. -
Good morning all, Is the link between responses in Forms and the Insights spreadsheet it writes to one way? I was hoping that removing the data in the spreadsheet would also update the Responses Overview page with the graphs but this appears to not be the case. I've designed a Form with a Power Automate Flow to use as our internal helpdesk and I was hoping to pull reports etc. but I know users won't always log their incident or service request correctly so I was hoping that as we corrected it in the spreadsheet it would change on the graphs. I'm open to ideas on how to achieve this in a better way. Thanks

@Tibbey I had a similar issue using Group Cleanup>Generate report here not working But it did work just using the Group Report button This was from classic view I'm not sure about some of the other queries in this thread as I ran group cleanup a couple of weeks back without any issues, for the purposes of Salamander as OP suggests

Good afternoon, Does anybody have an effective working script for removing AppX provisioned packages that I could use please? I've tried a couple of different things from other sources but not having much luck. Thanks

@snagrat Looks like it literally has to be the same group though, I'm trying to assign A5 to an "A5 Group" that contains all the same users as the "A3 Group" that's assigned to A3 but it complains that the A5 group hasn't been assigned some of the dependencies that it needs from the A3 licensing.
-
@snagrat Making sense to me now. Do you know if I have to make new assignment groups for the A5 bit? Will it complain of a clash if A3 is assigned to "all staff" group and then A5 is assigned to "all staff" group or is it intelligent enough in the background to combine the two licenses? Thanks

Good morning all, We recently purchased A5 security for faculty licenses having always had A3 and I was all set to swap over the assignments today because in my head one replaced the other but now I'm looking at it I see the A5 security for faculty service plan only has a few products listed so am I supposed to assign these A5 security for faculty licenses on top of the existing A3 or instead of? Thanks

@Steve21 I will admit that does make more sense @Olliedawg I wonder if we will need to commit to X number of years at the start or if we can do one year then another then another, I know it's a maximum of three years with Microsoft for extended support
-
@Steve21 I'm sure I read somewhere though that this is accumulative, so the second year is the $2 plus the $1 from year one so actually $3 per device and same with year three being $7 per device but I don't have that article to hand now. Thanks

Good afternoon, After the shock of finding out we can no longer use LCVAP (now SCA) funding for PCs and laptops I am reconsidering my options for Windows 10 EOS\moving to Windows 11. With pricing for EOS pricing from Microsoft not likely to be released until October 2024 at the earliest I had read about 0Patch (ZeroPatch) and wondered if anybody had any experience using this product? Thanks

@Olliedawg Finally got around to changing the DMARC record to exactly what @Michael had put and had a nice notification from NCSC informing me there was no longer an issue so I guess there was something in it, not that NCSC was alerting with the record the way I had it which is interesting. Now for MTA-STS...

Good afternoon, Has anybody used the Town Hall meeting function in Teams and invited external attendees? I can see it does external presenters but when I type an external address for inviting an attendee it seems to search our directory and not find the user (rightly) but then it doesn't just accept the typed address? Thanks

@PotNoodleTech Just found out as as well that it can be used for UPS
-
@PotNoodleTech DfE confirmed that it still applies to servers, network switches and cabling, arguably a stretch on the "condition of school buildings" anyway.
-
Update for anybody following this thread: DfE rejected funding for PCs and laptops, stating that SCA cannot be used to purchase PCs of any kind.
-
@Steve21 I found the same thing about external uploads on Forms. I'm not sure why the results have to come from the candidates and not their school, maybe there's no obligation for schools to share this info or maybe we need something like Applicaa in the middle.
-
@RichP @Steve21 I've asked our Finance Director who has asked our Group Lead (someone in another school who handles the LCVAP applications, even though we are not in a Trust) and that group lead says on the difference between LCVAP and CIF: "LCVAP - now called SCA (school conditions allocation) is for multi academy trusts of groups of VA schools. CIF funding is for single schools or smaller groups of schools. You can only be in one group of the other, so we cant make CIF bids (bidding for specific projects based on condition), as we get a formula-based allocationto cover everything." https://www.gov.uk/guidance/school-capital-funding#overview

Good morning, I'm wondering how others go about collecting proof of Year 12 results from external applicants? Our Sixth Form Admissions Officer is trying to allow those applicants to upload an image of their certificates but I gather this is not possible via Microsoft Forms\Power Automate. Thanks
-
@RichP I'm not sure, I just know that my IT projects this year are being put forward under LCVAP applications. Perhaps this CIF is more to do with buildings?
-
Good afternoon, Couldn't quite find a good place to post this query but does anybody know roughly how long it takes or is currently taking for the DfE to handle LCVAP applications? Thanks
-
Thanks @ColonelPanic Ours are in the Music suite and run Logic along with Sibelius so they are quite particular about wanting the Mac side of things but I do appreciate the advice.
-
Maybe I haven't quite got the TXT for DMARC quite right, mine reads: _dmarc..co.uk TXT v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:[email protected] Which I notice is a bit different to the one in the thread posted by @andy_b and @Michael

Good morning, Anybody out there using Intune to manage Mac devices? Thoughts, problems, things to be aware of and general experiences all welcome Thanks
-
@Michael I fixed it, the account needed adding as an exclusion to a conditional access policy that blocks legacy authentication. As I had already enabled MFA on the account at the request of ESS I then had to enforce MFA in order to setup an app password, now it works in FMS using the e-mail and app password instead of the Office 365 password.
