So Nicky Morgan's appearance before the Select Committee was quite interesting in that it appears that the Government isn't really sure what is going to appear in the Queen's Speech.

Really? What about the idea that LAs will be given an easy route to set up a MAT that been widely reported.

Ah but you are not understanding the Conservative way of thinking. Its bad for LA run MATs to have no democratic accountability but its fine for privately run MATs. Also if you oppose any aspect of the plan then you don't want to give children a good education.

Well it seems the LA MAT idea didn't go down very well with MPs MPs are still want the compulsion element removed.

Yes we've seen this too. An academy near us changed its catchment to avoid a less desirable area. The LA had to take up the slack, putting more pressure on us (an already overcrowded school) and send children miles away (sometimes in LA funded taxis) just to get them in school. I can only see this getting worse

Of course. But the Government could claim that all schools having been converted, the LAs can claim that they retained their schools and the schools can stick with the LA if they want. No one loses face. That's politics for you.

Removing CC3 is a different kettle of fish to CC4. It works completely differently.

Personally I would start with a new domain. IIRC there's not a great deal that will be useful to migrate from AD, CC4 uses a database to store the really useful stuff. The gpo stuff is pretty tailored to the way CC4 work so again I would start from scratch.

We moved from Ricoh to Konica too and it was a good decision. We also have been using PaperCut for a while now and that definitely has a big impact.

You don't need an iTunes account if you are using an MDM + VPP to distribute. Also you will need to give users the Office ProPlus licence in 365 for them to be able to edit documents.

We migrated from a laser printer for each year group to a leased MDF per building. Initially it seemed to annoy staff but we have saved a significant amount of money.

Yeah FMS has been a bit hit and miss for us. Weirdly it seems fine on 10 Pro x64 but Education x64 seems to have issues. Was having issues on my machine until this morning when suddenly the S3 agent popped up saying it was installing FMS and it worked!?
