  1. I would spend some time trying to fix it. What do the 'Site Status' and 'Component Status' nodes report?
  2. I think its telling us Buck off.
  3. I am using an i3, 4gb RAM with SSD running Win 10 Education x64 v1511. Th Windows image has all the modern apps stripped and the GPO to disable the welcome animation is set (weirdly this does seem to improve performance for us and doesn't just display a black screen as I read others post, it gives you the 'preparing windows' message om the login screen). I have also created a default profile that is picked up on first login (not a mandatory profile, I don't want to use those at the moment as there appears to be issues with win 10 and mandatory profiles, this is a default/template profile that is applied on initial login). So results from login screen to fully loaded desktop (includes applying all our GPOs): Initial login = 9 seconds Subsequent logins = 3 seconds Not bad really.
  4. Yeah I've had something similar. Turned out that the spreadsheet was zoomed out to a ridiculous level. I could open it on a machine with more RAM and zoomed back in to 100% and it would open on the other machine again.
  5. Wait, is this new? Everyone used to warn that this was a bad idea didn't they?
  6. Welcome to all the people I missed
  7. @hallb15 Just wanted to say a big thanks for the recommendation, Steve got us sorted dead quick with a nicely priced little bundle of x4 new lamps and x1 controller. All setup for the Glee performance and everyone is very grateful
  8. Agreed. Unless the aim is to sail the ball over everyone's heads and reach the touchline he needs to stop.
  9. Bitlocker has always paused and resumed without incident for us. However, I never hand a laptop over until I know its finished anyway.
  10. I believe that it was the "Troubleshooting Directory Synchronization tool" located here: http://aka.ms/hrcsync
  11. Ah ok. Now, I think I had this problem, and I remember being annoyed at the lack of usernames after the troubleshooter ran. If I remember correctly I ran a troubleshooter that dumped the names in c:\Office365Logs (yes the folder is still there will the affected names in there)
  12. I think I used this to go from 2012 R2 to current branch v1511: In-place Upgrade to Configuration Manager 1511 and this to update to v1602: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/configmgr_geek_speak/2016/03/11/configuration-manager-1511-to-1602-upgrade-walkthrough/
  13. Not an answer to that issue but Azure AD Sync has been deprecated. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/active-directory-aadconnect-dirsync-deprecated/?WT.mc_id=DirSyncDepACOM Azure AD Connect is the current tool to use https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/documentation/articles/active-directory-aadconnect/
  14. Sims Profiles is in the mix, however the school seem to have an aversion to doing things in Sims so I'm not hopeful on that one.
  15. Yeah but I kinda expect that from most companies. I have Virgin phone, mobile, TV and broadband and every time a contract comes up I badger them to come up with a better price and they always do. Their 'loyalty discount' appears to be set in relation to how far you push them.
  16. Hmm I have nothing but good thing to say about Virgin after many years of using them. The deals I get offered always seem to beat the competition too.
  17. Not only old but taken off track. The OP wanted software to record CP issues (such as Cura which was suggested) not monitoring solutions.
  18. Leave as is and as long as KMS is working and you meet the minimum count for Win 10 activation (25) you should be fine.
  19. VM have been pretty cagey about a date for supporting 4g for consumers, they do provide it to business customers already. Anecdotally, they have told enquirers its "next month", then "next month", "next month" etc etc...
  20. He's escaping, quick grab him! Best of luck for the future
  21. Depends on hwo you use it but 3G is fine for me. Lucky really as I'm with Virgin and they don't offer 4G for consumers :S
  22. I loved that too. Some absolute crackers in there
  23. Si It is
  24. I see that you are in your element in this thread.
