  1. Just out of interest, are people really planning on picking this up Aug 2nd and running with it in production? I plan plenty of testing before it gets deployed.
  2. With v1511 the vlsc iso was updated. I assume that ms will always have latest version in vlsc.
  3. Just asked and apparently Coaches Eye is used a lot: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/coachs-eye-instant-video-analysis/id472006138?mt=8 Also Skitch is used a lot for annotating pictures of sporty stuff: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/skitch-snap.-mark-up.-send./id490505997?mt=8
  4. PE co-coordinators seem to purchase a fair few. Coaching apps and the like. Some dance things as well.

  6. Primary here and we don't use Comic Sans as it doesn't show proper letter formation. We shelled out for some proper fonts that demonstrate proper letter formation to the kids.

    Pokémon: GO

Someone found something unexpected when search for Pokemon http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/36757858/pokemon-go-player-finds-dead-body-in-wyoming-river-while-searching-for-a-pokestop
  8. Welcome! Our 2nd in due at the start of August. See you at 03:00 hours!
  9. Currently we only have staff iPads, managed by Meraki MDM. They are handed over with some default apps installed but no Apple ID attached. If they want apps installed then they have the following options: For free apps: Ask me to push it out via VPP Attach an Apple ID and install it themselves [*]For paid apps: Buy some VPP credit from whatever budget and ask me to buy it and push it out Attach an Apple ID and pay for it themselves (funny but this never happens)
  10. Sign up. Post thread. Get congrats
  11. Funnily enough I received this reply from the Government regarding the petition to stop all schools being forced to become an academy.
  12. Following on from @Andrew_C post here: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/behind-red-door/171646-official-edugeek-eu-referendum-thread-117.html#post1479166
  13. Fangs for that.
  14. Mm but you could supply a randomly generated one as a variable. In fact someone has done it for you https://tomasrk.wordpress.com/2015/05/08/powershell-send-e-mails-w-autogenerated-passwords/ Needs tweaking to suit environment but that seems to be what you want?
  15. Scheduled powershell script could do this with a combination of these commands? Set-ADAccountPassword: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/ee617261.aspx Send-MailMessage: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh849925.aspx
  16. So, Kirk nearly had a fight with Jesus. Whaaaat?! https://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/jul/06/aborted-star-trek-movie-captain-kirk-fighting-jesus-new-book-gene-roddenberry
  17. I want to work at your school! *hic* edit: yes back to topic!
  18. I had to do that for our secretary today as there was a huge spider in a box of uniforms and she has proper arachnophobia. At least she asked me this time, last time she saw a spider she shoved me in the store cupboard, locked the door and ran off. Oh and good idea for a thread. My recent strange one was to catch a parrot.
  19. I call Batman! Happy Birthday *nomnomnom*
  20. I've put deployment on hold now until after the anniversary update. The technical previews use a .v6 profile suggesting that the update is kinda like a new OS? Does anyone know if we will need a new ADK and whatnot?
  21. Thanks, just discovered that I haven't specified anything in the client settings so it must be using defaults (whatever they are).
  22. Do you know what actually triggers the update installation though? I was actually looking at an issue today where PCs were identifying that they needed an update, downloading it then just sitting there. Then, seemingly randomly, a PC would start to install. All done now but left me wondering what actually kicked the PC into launching the installation.
  23. So, is it just me or do you find that sometimes nothing seems to happen for ages (ie you can see that software updates have been identified and added to the list to install) and then suddenly it all springs into life without much rhyme or reason?
  24. Of course you are right. However its still to do with SCCM and WSUS. The OP didn't say he was using WU, just checking for updates (which I assume meant checking from the sccm client actions tab though I could be wrong). And the status nodes would be a good place to start troubleshooting.
  25. Its is both. SCCM sits on top of WSUS to control updates and clients use WU to get and install updates as directed by SCCM.
