You would think. Given that a lot of us here planned, tested and deployed Windows 10 in less time than that I am surprised that this is causing such a fuss. I guess its the usual inertia when there's a change to a long standing mindset. Personally I find moving to Windows as a service is a good thing and should be embraced. Take a look at how SCCM works now, no longer do we have to wait years for a new version with new licencing and cost, new features are added with a simple upgrade. Its great. Not by a long shot. Lots of people here have deployed Education. It doesn't. Just deploy the upgrade once a year.

We are sticking with Education. Removing apps is trivial and an upgrade every year isn't the end of the world. We usually end up doing reimaging over the summer. Personally I think staying pace with new windows features is something we should be doing. I don't really want to say to people they can't use something because I decided they were better off without it. But I may, of course, change my mind in the future.

Last night I watched Nine Dead on Netflix, starring Clarissa Sabrina the Teenage Witch Melissa Joan Hart. So, 9 strangers are kidnapped and locked in a room. The masked kidnapper gives them 10 mins to figure out why they are there else one of them dies and the clock is reset. It was pretty good, but I can't help thinking it was the kind of film that would have been really good with a bit of tweaking. Don't want to give anything away but the reasons for some of them being there weren't that understandable which kinda spoiled the end a bit for me. However if you have 90 mins to while away then its worth a watch.

Been hearing that for the last 20 years or so I'm a big fan so if it's done I hope it's done right.

I hope that you don't find any errors in my text as Toucan play at that game and that would give you a lot to crow about. Interestingly, it appears that our LA is telling its schools to carry on as before. We've questioned the wisdom of the LA pursuing court action after the High Court ruling but hey-ho, its not our call.

I was thinking this. There is already some BBC content on Netflix, why invest in a new platform when you can make money out of an existing, and popular, service?

I can only speak from experience of knowing schools around here but: It is considered on a case by case basis but applying the law to each case There are no "automatic fines" sent out by schools as schools don't issue fines, its the LAs job to review the case and decide whether to take it forward to to that stage there's a Hell of a lot of (human) work that goes into even getting to the fining stage
