The average number of people in the world is approx. 10%, but I've always suspected that this statistic is higher for people that work in IT. A few recent posts in another thread on this forum reinforced this theory. So I thought I'd create a poll to see what it is amongst Edugeekers. The poll will only have 2 options (left or right). Please don't start the whole cross-dominance or ambidextrous debate - if you consider yourself to fit in those categories, just choose which one you consider to be your strongest. e.g I write and throw with my left hand. I use racquets left handed. I bat and bowl left handed for cricket. However, I play guitar and golf right handed (but only because the equipment I had when I was learning was right handed). I use a mouse with my right hand. I consider myself to be left handed.

Slingshot look OK on price for Phone+Broadband at $69* for 40GB/month. The access to iPlayer and their "Data Rollover" features are appealing too. I can't find any mention on their website of whether their "Better Network" would cover where he is (Te Kuiti) Thanks peeps.

Attention all Kiwis! My octogenarian father is still using dial-up in NZ. He's finally warmed to the idea of broadband, but cost is an issue. As I haven't lived in NZ for many many years, I haven't got a clue what ISPs are like there anymore, or who has the best deals etc. He doesn't need massive bandwidth. Who would you recommend please??

I've just spoken to Geist and was told that the SMS Gateway was not available in the UK (which isn't mentioned in the documentation). As "The Climate" is almost identical, does anyone using this have the SMS functionality working please?

If you want COMPLETELY wireless, this can be done if you have the a telly that supports AllCast (or similar) e.g I can mirror my Android devices to my Samsung TV at the click of a button. They just need to be connected to the same wireless. I'm fairly sure there is an iOS app for AllCast too (??)

Have a chat to @VeryPC_Colin_M as I believe VeryPC were looking into including TPM chips into their laptops. I believe Stone have them in theirs too.

We've been having repeated problems emailing any school that uses RM Easymail, because YHGfL keeps getting added to SPAM blacklists. Apparently one (or more) school(s) on the grid have some form of infection which is getting detected and thus causing the YHGfL mail IPs to get blacklisted. This has been ongoing for MONTHS. I'm being told that RM won't play ball and help either. I keep getting an earbashing from my SLT because they can't email the pyramid primaries, etc... Anyone else in the same boat??
