What in Hell’s name do I buy mrwITch for Christmas?

Send him back; he's broken. -
Unlike the traditional "radiator knob" a TRV has a thermostat in it. It can switch off a radiator if that room needs to be cooler than the room with the thermostat/controler. The really clever wireless TRVs can switch the boiler on and heat just the cool room, if you fit them in all rooms. You can improve the comfort by careful planning if you can't justify fitting £35 heads to all your existing valves, or draining down and fitting bases throughout. I would if a) I had existing valves, or b) thought I'd be living here more than a few years. Will definitly be doing aproper job in the next house.

2 feet? Frankly, I'd leave my mask on at 2m, unless there was a communication problem. -
I went with Wiser by Drayton. Only got the room stats at the moment, but might go for TRVs. I needed to replace my previous wireless stats as it kept forgetting the settings, and was a right chore to program. Gave Geo-fencing a miss, as Mrs_C's ex lives nearby, and the Sorta-dortas would have switched ours on when there. If your boiler is Open Therm ready, this will improve your control if you go for a system that is compatible. Or look to see if Worster have a system.

The only "expert" you'll find prepared to test this, will be drooling and wearing a tin-foil hat already.

Your packaged food isn't packed by robots. It is packed by minimum-wage slaves, standing shoulder to shoulder on production lines. Why do you think there were so many outbreaks in food plants? -

Could also be seen as "upper class" pursuits. Maybe they worked out that excluding horse racing and grouse murdering last time wasn't popular? -

Plan for tonight is to watch the musical 'War of the Worlds'. Part of the Lloyd Webber free (but please donate) scheme.

Definitely a a good read. I'd guess 52% of the population won't realise who it is about.

Nah, the problem is that us spekky gits can't see what we're pointing at. Use a wide angle, point in the right general direction, crop until it looks good. -

That's very interesting. I was ill with something vile Nov30-Dec4 last year. Put it down to normal vile lurgy... Maybe not? We have quite a few Chinese pupils.

Been with them for 15 years or so, with very little problem. A few niggles over the summer, and a new router sent out within a couple of days. You do however have to listen to a lot of "muzak" before you get to a human...

Owls... I know it is OT, but this is (I think) the only place owls have been mentioned. I've been on the planet nearly 60 years, and it never once occurred to me.

Only recently. Over millennia we have become immune, or resistant, to hundreds of diseases without vaccination. I accept that with the current state of the world, with near instantaneous travel to anywhere on the planet, the sort of changes required to protect us are unlikely to develop fast enough to protect us.
